:T I've just paid off the third of four credit card debts :T.
woohoo well done, i need to ring up about 2 settlements ive been offered which i have more then enough to pay to get it in writeing, once its in writeing will transfer the amount needed from nationwide to halifax and ring and pay via my debit card, i think that if i really push myself this year even more so with this challenge i could possible be debt free the end of this year rather than middle of next year (long story but it ws supposed to be under control via the ex, ive now found he hasnt been paying anything like he said he would oh well )
got 5 things to ebay so tomorrow chargeing camera and getting them on (fingers crossed for good prices on them)
quick and silly question can i leave slow cooker on overnight? have the soup in there figured it would be cheeper than cooking on gas hobDFW nerd club number 039'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' :money: i will be debt free aug 2010

I am finally back,
CW: Well done with clearing CCs and all your number crunching and sorting outAbout the treats one option could be fishy dry cat food. It smells very strong and should be tasty but don't really fill the calory needs of a big dog. Nyk - any problem in giving small amounts of cat food for dogs? It should have the same proteins only that cat food has one more than dog...
Driving lessons: My parents told me not to get a license and of course I had to have it so when I was 18 I took a job in baked potato cafe and used the money to get a license and stubborn as I am drove a lorry license for my dad not being able to say that our car was too big for me. Despite that he never allowed me to drive it because I am a girl . So after 12 years of very limited driving I got my own car and it all came back very quickly, and after 10 months driving moved here and started driving on the other side of the road and immediately went to drive on M25 . I am glad to say that after 8 years here both my car and I have stayed unscratched. :rotfl:
SM: Oooh your OH was a police dog trainer!!! :j I have full tank of petrol now so I am on my way to eat your lovely food and listen all the dog training stories. Do you happen to have any rhubarb crumble in you freezer?:rotfl:
SL: Go girl, go!!!
Snow White: Thank you so much for the carrot soup recipe. I have now curry powder on my shopping list and can't wait to try that one :T
Anybody else, sorry if I forgot, so much to catch up with. It is to bed for me soon.
Night Night,

Evening all
So far Im on NSDs ... In fact I haven't spent 1c since 22nd dec :j ..BUT we are nipping to the NAAFI in the morning..so my nice shiney budget will be no more:rolleyes: ... I don't "need" a lot -just hoping for some more whoopsed milk for the freezer (im a tea belly) and organic butter if whoopsed -I refuse to pay €2.69 a block -so jump on it when I see it whoopsed ..and I just happened to notice they had a few blocks dated the 4th last time I was in -so here's hoping it hasn't gone
Also its my 1st weigh in tomorrow...so pinkies crossed for a decent loss;)
Right Im off to my bed.. will report back tomorrow with my spends
Fizzle - I regularly leave my SC on over night-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
I've listed the contents of my store-cupboard, fridge, freezer etc today. I seem to have enough pasta in to last me ~6 months, a silly no of tins of chopped tomatoes and ~1.8kg of cheddar cheese  and a billion loo rolls (I'm sure they are breeding)! :rotfl: Ummmm I live alone...
In-advertant store cupboard stocking has been happening...
I've also meal planned for the week beginning Sunday and all I should need is salad stuff as long as my breadmaker cooperates! :j (I know what I'm having tomorrow - HM soup - probably carrot as I seem to have ~3 kilos of them between my fridge and freezer.May well try Snow white's recipe!! )
It should be a low spend week unless I spot anything woopsied! :j :TMortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Whoever said that reading this thread could become a fulltime job isn't far off the mark! I can't believe how fast the thread is moving! We may need to split it into monthly sections instead of quarterly. :rotfl:
Hello newbies :hello: welcome on board!
I don't know why you're all worrying about not spending during the first week of the challenge, I'm the very opposite - I get an unquenchable thirst for spending! :rotfl: Sales are my ultimate downfall and guess what? I went and spent! Again! I have updated my signature and I do realise that once it's gone, it's gone, but...Just spent £28.99 (inc P&P) on 22 fruit bushes - OOPS! My £100 allocated to garden spends isn't going to last long at this rate. Did I mention that I spotted a lovely grape vine with 20% off? But I didn't get one, yet! :rotfl: I went via TCB for 10% cashback, used a 20% off code and paid using a cashback card, so I reckon I got the best bargain I could. I promise to stop spending on 'wants' soon but it's so exciting starting again and having a new garden to create this year. :j
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

I've had my haggis for dinner this evening. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would..oh well...
I'm going to have to do a garden plan soon and see what seeds etc I've got.
I keep re jigging how I'm doing my different 'challenges'. I've obviously got too much time on my hands!
I was going to do seperate pots for things, then thought I do one big one and get my loan paid off earlier than the end of the year...now I'm back to seperate pots. I think I may keep it that way and just give myself the full 12 months to get things done...I can't believe I get so silly about it all!!
I've also decided I'm going to stick with weekly shopping and it'll just be cheaper some weeks or I'll use those weeks to stock pile some items..
I think its going to be quite a learning curve this year...once I've started earning some money again I'll feel better, I'm sure and when I feel on top of the housework etc too.
I think I'm just reading too much and getting too many ideas...0 -

To my knowledge, it's ok to let a dog eat a cat's food but not a good idea to let a cat eat a dog's food. I've used cheap cat food for feeding hedgehogs and for rearing baby birds. For dogs with allergies or reactions to red meat protein, we always used Chapp!e but that was before all the new-fangled expensive brands began appearing. Back then, it was a case of sticking to white meat and not using W!nalot :rotfl: Oh, and back then, feeding dried food all the time could cause stones, so who knows what the current beliefs are on the subject, will ask friend when she's in for cuppa at weekend, as she's much more qualified than me on the subject.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Because it's a slippery slope and if we spend now we won't stop!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
