cw OH used to train police dogs and swears by using tiny cubes of baked liver. Just buy piece of cheapest liver of any kind, bake in oven until it is really dry and crumbly then cube. Most dogs love it as taste is really concentrated, no additives etc in it. Get him started on that one and he will be talking all day..... (My OH that is not the dog lol)0

Will look you some out0 -
Had a very good day for clearing out junk via freecycle - so far today have donated a ski suit, a gameboy and an old 32" TV. No responses yet to my request for a chest freezer sadly to allow me to batch cook
still fingers crossed....

That is a great idea - our collie refuses to come when called as the treats are not exciting enough, will definitely try this!0 -
well, first spends of the year under my belt:D . Bought 2 x 3000mm kitchen worktops for £90 (for the 2). This is the year I am going to sort out my kitchen: one of my 'luxuries' that I am cutting back on other things for. Got a 1.5 sink on freecycle recently and handy lodger is going to fit worktops & sink. Spent this afternoon painting hall and doing a orange tester in kitchen (north facing and rather cheerless.)
Welcome to more newbies:j . Jennybee - that was so lovely of your sister. Glad you are saving for something really important rather than frittering it away. The caravan porch sounds a good investment though & will improve the quality of our life, however tragic it may sound:D .
LOve the Slabrador explanation:rotfl:
Lynne - I would be pretty astonished if OH refused food with reasoning like that! Can't see the logic re the kebab instead because how 'old' was that meat! As for the loo roll; you could try buying the medicated type (like greaseproof paper only less absorbant): I was brought up on that and it's made me the woman I am today:rotfl: . He'd soon start buying his own:D You are doing really well sticking to your guns:T This is your financial future you are care taking.
Glad the milk tip was helpful annie. Thanks.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Dalmatians are prone to 'stones', so have to be on a low protein diet -- which means we can't give him much 'real' meat/fish/poultry at allThat's another reason I have so many problems finding a food that suits him

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I have just remembered the stuff you used to get at school - it was like tracing paper and very jaggy to the nether regions, I will try and get him some of that for the morning after one of his kebabs!!!:T :T

No can do -- or not on a regular basis

No wonder you have issues with his food then, how about croutons soaked in meat stock then dried in oven. Not as a food just as a training aid - he would only be having tiny amounts then not ctual meat0 -
