Hi everyone
First day of the new challenge - happy new year!
NSD day here, made considerably easier by the shops being shut. Have adjusted my totals to show the direct debits coming out tomorrow.
Also did greasypalm £20 cashback offer on SunBingo so deposited £10. Won nothing (and was bored rigid!) but not counting it as a spend as should get the money back ( and more, as already have about £14 sitting on greasypalm which has been there ages. Fingers crossed that it works - anyone else tried this? Any idea how long before it shows as tracked on greasypalm?
Shouldn't need to spend tomorrow as still have plenty in. Used leftovers today and have made sweet potato soup for lunches tomorrow. Will stick slow cooker on with chilli for tea as have used oven rather a lot recently and want to claw back a bit of electric use!
EDIT - Nyk. The 99p shop had some raspberry canes in recently if one of those is near you.0 -

Their going to have to be in this house too SM:D Have set myself my own mini challenge to see how many days out of 100, i can go, without throwing any food away. Over Christmas i realised how much food i throw away.
Have started off well today, made an extra meal for tomorrow's luch out of tonight's dinner, plus have plenty of left over turkey so will do something with that for tomorrow night's tea or use if for sandwiches on saturday.
I think this will really help to cut down my bills.
Jennybee, just wanted to say what a lovely thing it is what your sister did. It warms the heart to hear stories like that, nice to know family loyalty is still very much alive.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

I may have missed it before - can you tell us now what you got the missus for Xmas?
I can indeed, all presents ended up being family friendly lol :rotfl:Can't believe you remembered! I got m'lady a nice dolce gabbana perfume gift set, a rather fetching pink baby g watch, and the nintendo game of the year 'curious village' on the ds.
I've since completed the game lol, she's pretty much there now too - I eventually let her have a go haha! Fantastic game and well worth the effort tracking it down, was a real pain, none in stock most places, other places inflating the price to £60 (rrp £30) etc. Of course, I didn't let myself get ripped offWas well worth the effort purely for the reaction when she opened it, she knew how difficult it was to track down as had been trying to grab a copy for herself for weeks
Very pleased 'ladyfriend'
Can't go into price details of course as it's not the done thing on gifts, but rest assured I got all the right gifts at all the right prices. Some very good deals to be had this year. I'm still amazed how cheaply I managed to sort Christmas tbh, and I didn't skimp on any gifts
As an aside, that's a fantastic sister you have there JennyBee, just the right time for a bit of extra savings with the baby on the way too :T
And finally - 1st January was a no spend day, and I received a bunch of interest payments on my savings, not too bad a start to the year! I feel more human after a fantastic roast beef dinner too, no more hangover0 -
oo very happy to have worked out that with my takeabreak and virgin bingo scratch cards I'll make 67.50!
