Congratulations Loopylou and welcome to the world Daisy! I hope you're all doing well xx
Hi everyone :hello:Sorry I haven't been about but great to catch up on at least some of your news. I'm very jealous of all the gardening updates - that space will produce loads SM :T - and excited to hear Nyk's frugal family is growing! Haven't found your post about Kuwait yet SF but looking forward to finding it and discovering what the camels got up toGreat to see you keeping things in perspective SFT - it's so easy to get carried away on a dream, that's what makes them so special, and it's also sensible to remind yourself of what's really important. The thing is, if you want the country cottage enough it will happen at some time and place that's right for you. Hugs during the process, I know it really isn't easy xx
Well, I'm not sure how long it was since I was last here properlyLife is good, insanely busy, with tutoring, my Masters and the dog is keeping me very busy with lots of country walks
Today I experimented with taking her out with my bike, and she absolutely loved it! :T We were careering along the towpaths having a whale of a time, completely off lead as she's so responsive. We still have issues with the cats but it's getting better. We also went back to the Home today to see the person who raised her, they were both very pleased to see each other, bless! I really will post some pics soon too...
Frugalising is going well here, so much so I don't really seem to spend hardly at all these days! The menu plan and freezer stocktake are working pretty well and we even have quite a lot left over for next month :T And I won my first £5 on the scratchcards the other day, woo hoo!
I applied for a job last week but decided on visiting the school not to pursue it as it really wasn't somewhere I wanted to work. However, it seems that I probably haven't been asked for interview either, which isn't a problem in this instance but might suggest re-entry to work post-illness could be tricky (as I was well qualified for the job). We'll see what happens...
OH has applied for his placements so we're just waiting to hear back about those too...Laos, Nepal and India are top of the list for these ones :j
Right, think that's all for now. I'm back so will keep up to date with your news from now; MiL is here all weekend so bear with me
