Nyk - think you need a bigger dog house:rotfl: :rotfl:

AND a bigger entrance please! There is no way I can fit in there....Think of me as a Newfoundland sized person not a poodle. Thank you. :)

Marru dont leave the thread. At the end of the day it is your money and your life and you can do what you wish with it and its not for us to criticise. From what you write you are doing so well with new job and trying to sort everything out. I am sure you know this. Come on, a bit of friction happens occassionally even in the best of families.:) I really hope you will reconsider.

    Marru,

I would hate if you left us. I think that anyone that mentioned the spends were just worried about you. I didn't notice anything like Grandma (things go over my head at times). It's a shame to leave when you have been on here from the beginning (of my time). I really enjoy talking to you and like your input just as much as everyone elses. and I really enjoy hearing what the monkey has been up to at nursery etc. Please stay. :happylove

PS, I am going home today, so might not be back on until late tonight. :j
  • :D SL - Glad you survived the week intact , have a good trip home, make sure you get plenty of breaks.

I'll need to try and get some cards for my 2 valentines today..........my nephew and one for sam the !!!!-zu to give to his mummy.:D I know, I am daft.:p I've missed my house, glad to be going home but all the people here have been really nice, so confident about the new job. Speak later. xx
  • MARRU - i know i haven't really spoken to you a lot on here but i too love reading your entries PLEASE STAY - you are working to your own budget to suit your life no one elses so continue on your path!!! But stay with us please.

Well am very proud of self as last night the bf was here and some friends and as i was working mum fed kiddies then took dd home for the night. He wanted takeaway with friends who were over and they were talking chinese and pizza  - so i suggested fish n chips. Total cost for my chips £1 lol. Put em in a roll at home and it was a cheap dinner for all. (especialy as he paid)

Am working tons next week (every day and twice wed and thu) so having a relaxing fri and weekend. Son has been coughing loads so prob home today. With the snow last night the sky isn't working either so he is gonna be boooooooooooooooooored! DS2 is also snotty so lots of sick kids in the house, and i have a cold too but try not to think about it as too busy lol.

Checked on-line banking, all is well and chicken in fridge defrosting for something for dinner.........not sure what yet but prob pasta and mush soup.

Need to do audit of fridge/freezer and cupboards today at some point as have to get a meal plan in place. No more food for rest of mth (only 2 weeks) - need the money for the f&f.
DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts :) Just to see which month :))))

It just shows how ignorant some people are. I knew which breed you were talking about even with the letters taken out.

SM - thanks for the idea for the Enchillada sauce :) Will probably give it a try next week (half term, so no grand-daughters/school runs to take up my time). No cocoa in the house though (we don't drink it), so won't be trying that option ;)

SL - you and I clearly spell the breed differently - Shih Tzu (which I assume is what you mean?) seems to be accepted on all forums, and is the way my SIL always spelt it when she had one (so the way I've picked up)

  • Wow i missed a lot in 24 hrs

Marru please stay , i am unaware of any nastiness ,sometimes online "tone "is difficult to assess and can be confused for something else ..............

I like Nyk and others have no debt(bar a mortgage) i am however addicted to moneysaving and hope to pusue a self sufficient lifestyle one day ......so i see now as practicing.

We as a family are not huge consumers but i do buy things but only after a long think and shop around for a good price etc for example i want a pressure canner so i can make my own ready meals etc but would have to have it shipped from america about £140 and have beeen debating buying one for almost a year i will only buy it if it will pay for itself eventually ...............like the breadmaker ....argos own brand it has saved me twice what it cost already

Am going to buy a dehydrator soon too as i want tio make fruit leather for ds lunches rather than buy

I also love free money and cashback etc so love the advice on here.

Loobyloo the best place to start with a budget is what you spend now ,then focus on what can be changed ,cut out or cut down
