Oh yes it is! :T Thanks for the hugs Lingo and the well wishes Nyk.
Frugalitis alert - I'm just sitting here with OH making a menu plan and we've agreed to do a stocktake of the freezers together tomorrow - I think he's at the next stage of infection :j
A point I meant to make the other day and forgot: be careful when buying value ranges as they are not always the cheapest product in the line  In Mr S the other day they had value houmous added to their range but per gram it was more expensive than their lower fat version (even without the additional 25% off they're currently running on the healthy one). It was only a penny dearer (26p cheaper with the offer) but it made me question how other lines compared.Remember, Value ranges are big business these days - they were promoting it at the front of the store and over the tannoy constantly - so just be careful you don't get stung. I'd be interested to hear of any other incidents like this too.
Right, night all, see you tomorrow x
Yip in a*da last night i went to buy mash potato - the value range was 50p for 300gm while the good for you range was 50p for 400gm....... sometimes the value brand isnt always the cheapest. I've noticed a*da getting a lot cheaper with their 'roll back' offer at the mo.
Will up date later....hope everyone has a good day!
p.s. Had my first night at wieght watchers last night and lost a pound and a half!!.....going out for lunch to celebrate today!!:p£4000 a year challenge member

Morning all,
Got up late so not gone to college. Just dropped DS off at school and DD has not gone nursery either.
Just wondering if anyone could tell me/pm me on how they got there 4 yr old to stop wetting himself in day and at night? He is still in nappies and he is 4 and a half.
I spent £3.08 at shop this morning.
Should get my cheque from my mum today in post hopefully so i can drop it in to bank whilst im at doctors in town.
I hurt my ribs 8 weeks ago and they still hurt when i sneeze and breath. I been doctors 2 weeks after it happened they said i just bruised it so going back. Also my son is going as needs to be booked in to asthma clinic.
I have decided that im not doing a party for my DD and we are going to go to zoom zone or puddletown play centre instead and get a cake for her and have a party tea with me and DS. As im wanting to pay off loads of debts and my DS's party was over £50 for all of it last time.
Need to pick her up a card and some wrapping paper also when im in town but its just too cold to go anywhere!
need to put some DS games on amazon and some old DVD's too and also post back my rental dvd's to blockbuster online so i get 2 more dvd's for the weekend today.
For tea tonight we are going to have something with mince. Savoury mince i think. But all depends what time i get out of the doctors as going straight after school.
Hugs to anyone who needs them and have a good day.Sealed Pot dec 08 - dec 09 so far £27.67, Live off £4k Spent £330.20 GC £1,200 for 2009 Spent £50.78 PaD so far £650.07Debts: L/woods £154.00 C/One PAID O/D £649.90 Next £299.95 O/D PAID Gas £72.60 Electric £155.73 Mum £640.00 Orange £490.320 -
lilo,
Sorry to hear about the cancer, but this bit about prescription charges may help with the challenge:

And about time they acknowledged some conditions incur extra health costs !!!
My DH was lucky, as our GP signed a form of some sort to get this for him almost 2 years ago -- so there must already be some rules in place if you're seriously/terminally ill with it. (I was off work sick on a vastly reduced income at the time, and our GP was horrified to find that we were having to pay for the various prescriptions for DH)Cheryl0 -
Just did my on-line tesco shop for wk of 28th jan and using voucher code from that forum i saved £10 on my grocery spend (free delivery plus 6.50 off my shopping) will update totals when debited from my card

Sorry to hear that Lilo, hugs, and that it was missed by the smear  I hope you are eligible for the free prescriptions.
The children debate is an interesting one - I can see that there are pros and cons to both 'options'. Ultimately though, whether we are able to have children or not is part of our life journey, and is not determined simply by our fertility. My choice was to wait until I had found someone who is a wonderful partner and could be an amazing father. If by doing that I end up missing my chance to be a biological parent then, hard though it will be, that will be part of my story. OH and I know the stats and also know lots of older people who have had children (and younger people who haven't been able to). Our choice is that if it doesn't happen naturally when the time is right for us then we will adopt. Everyone's path is right for them. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hello,
Quick one as just came from meeting at recruitment consultancy and rushing shortly out again.
Lilo, lots of hugst from me too!!
Mumzy, bribery! I just took the nappy off from DD and explaned what I expected her to do. Then I set up my alarm to go off every 15 minutes, asked DD if she had dry pants and every time she had she got a piece of orange (her favourite) and very quickly she realised what was meant to do. Then when we had the period of occasional wetting we used a reward chart (thanks SM !!) to get her to stop doing it and it worked like a charm. For nights, I put plastic sheet under the normal sheet and I think she wet herself once when she realised that it is better to go to the toilet and she was actually night dry quicker than day dry. I know that in most cases it can be other way around.
Children and age, I got DD when I was 35 and it was an accident, we definitely weren't trying. My now ex wanted me to have an abortion but I was stubborn and kept her. Despite it being hard [STRIKE]most of the time[/STRIKE] sometimes I wouldn't have it any other way.
Off I rush now, have a frugalising frugalistic day everyone,

I had my first when I was 30, but it ended badly and I lost her 27 weeks into my pregnancy because of pre-eclampsia.
I had my first son at 31 and my next at 32.
I only need to look at my husband and can fall pregnant, on all occasions it happened within a couple of weeks of trying so I guess it would depend on the individual. I count myself very lucky to have two beautiful, healthy boys despite having problems in all three pregnancies.Just wondering if anyone could tell me/pm me on how they got there 4 yr old to stop wetting himself in day and at night? He is still in nappies and he is 4 and a half.
My eldest (with ASD) came out of nappies at 4+1/2 but still wouldn't contemplate it - lots of accidents on a daily basis.
The advice my psychologist gave me:-
If they are in nappies, put them on toilet IN the nappy and let them do what they do so they get comfy with it, once they are ok with this remove the nappy and fingers crossed.
It can be a fear - talk to him and see if this is the case, do you have a toilet seat? Are they scared of the flusshing sound.
With my eldest's problems going to the toilet was included in his daily routine, he was taken to the toilet at home/nursery at the same time every day so he got the idea.
We also used visual reminders as he was on a visual timetable.
Weird thing is after only a week the eldest started using the toilet and the younger one the day after so we didn't actually get to do the above - I think it was just their time to be ready.
My eldest stoped wetting the bed at night when he was three - it was when he was awake we had the problems.
You could try the above or have a word with your health visitor as she came round and helped me quite a bit.
The eldest became toilet trained at 5 and 1/2, the youngest at 4 and 1/2Payment a day challenge: £236.69

These big fridge freezers get mixed reviews but mine has been great not had a bit of trouble with it and had it about 3 years now. I love it - seems to keep food much fresher than my old fridge,
Sophiesmum,
That is the very fridge that I am talking about. It is fantastic!! Everything is fresh for ages. I secretly hope that my cousin does not want it, I will be waiting in the wings. I am already getting the tumble drier, the vax machine and the steam cleaner, so am collecting all my mum's stuff up at an alarming rate.:D
With the size of that fridge, it makes me understand exactly how much food you have stockpiled - it is a lot:eek:0 -
Thankf for your comments everyone. My DS isnt wetting himself all the time, usually when he comes home from school. he has only ever wet himself once in school. but on many occasions he has had wet pants when he come out of school - I keep telling him to tell the teacher instead of being sat it in.
its the bedtime i want to get cracking with. He goes bed with a nappy on but many times i gone up and its off and he has wet. They have a small drink that they take to bed with them. I cant change this.. Ive always sent them to bed with a drink since being 1. To be honest i dont even go bed without a drink lol. I wil look in town for 2 reward charts. I want to get my son out of nappies so i can then get my DD out of them at night (she is 3 on the 4th). I will admit DS been in and out of nappies for about 2 years at night but then he started wetting every night so put them back in nappies. DD has been out of them once but also started wetting daily. and it was hard work trying to get both bedding dry by next night and back on again.
Oh and i not used my dryer for about 2 months now.. It cost me £290 from next but im wondering where i could sell it as dont really like ebay selling it there as dont like the thought of strange people coming in my house when its things to do with money as im on my own.Sealed Pot dec 08 - dec 09 so far £27.67, Live off £4k Spent £330.20 GC £1,200 for 2009 Spent £50.78 PaD so far £650.07Debts: L/woods £154.00 C/One PAID O/D £649.90 Next £299.95 O/D PAID Gas £72.60 Electric £155.73 Mum £640.00 Orange £490.320
