I thought it would be good to compare against last year, as many people including myself have problems keeping up with the thread at the moment. The quoted texts where just the first ones for 19.Jan in each year. Guess I just have a strangely wired brain as no one seems to have been able to follow its thought process.

    Hello all,

    Rant warning:

I have had just the worst day so far. DD was sick 5 in the morning meaning that could'nt take her to nursery, the car came more expensive than I expected and didn't have money in account. Quick text for my brother and bless him he called me back and transferred the money for me so now we have car to use. Thank goodness. DD is complaining a poorly tummy, refused to eat scrambled eggs with cottage cheese. I yet again didn't manage to get to college, don't know if DD well enough tomorrow for me to go to the appointment with recruitement consultancy. I am broke, I am tired, I am fed up, I have so had it for having to deal with everything by myself. My dad has been sulking last eight years, my mum behaves like 5 year old, my ex is throwing tantrum because I refused to go and see his consultant...

    Rant over

Not a NSD for me as went to shop to try to find stuff to cook for child with bad tummy and also to get big bar of chocolate of which with I am going to lock myself into the toilet as soon as I hit send button on this post. Not a good start for a weight loss.

Sorry about the rant. I will be back when I feel better.

Hopefully everyone else is having a better day,

    Marru

So sorry to hear you are having such a bad day. I hope your little one gets better soon x

Ah, I'm with you now PTMN! :T It confused me because I was trying to work out which bits you'd written and which were quotes etc - then my brain gave in and smoke came out my ears :o:rotfl: Thanks for explaining it,makes a lot of sense now and good to see we haven't posted many more times than this time last year -16 pages isn't load is it?

Marru, you are not alone in this, although I can appreciate how it feels like that sometimes. Why was the price different to the one quoted? A hire company tried to do this to my dad recently when he had to have a courtesy car after his accident - he told them what he thought and refused to pay.

When you get out of the bathroom, call me xx

It will all be better tomorrow.

    Take a deep breath...........and relax.
Sorry you are having a bad day, but you will get through it, honestly.
You are allowed to feel fed up sometimes, you aren't superwoman and it is hard work looking after a child and home and balancing finances/homelife/work/college etc. I'm sad that you have no family nearby to help you.
Give Bails a call and at least you can talk to someone, sometimes that's all you need xxx

Afternoon all .... and hugs for those feeling a bit down today. Everyone at work talking about Blue Monday and we've got the weather to go with it :(

Marru - DD2 had a tummy bug on Friday and was off school. I thought we were over the winter bugs  (especially after that bad flu that everyone had !) but alas not  I hope the little cherub is feeling better soon xx As for the diet/chocolate, go and enjoy it ..... there are times when you just have to give in to temptation but if you do then you may as well make the most of it. What choc is it?? !! lol (dribbles). Not that i'm obsessed with chocolate at the moment   :silenced:

Got my phone bill in today so will need to update sig shortly. Good news is though that i've allowed myself £400 for the year and if the first bill is anything to go by then I should have some money spare from this :T which will go into savings account at the end of the year.

Got to pop out later and get DS some more school shoes - he thought he ought to mention to me that he's had a hole in his shoe for the last 2 weeks and now that it's raining he's getting wet feet  :rotfl: . I had to have a little talk with him and say it's good for mummy's to know these things so that we can go and buy a new pair  . I'm not counting uniform into the budget (class it as an essential). However, general clothing does although not had to buy any yet ;) .

Had a pretty good weekend - got in the greenhouse and did what we wanted to do, sown a few seeds, got up to date with paperwork and a few other odds and ends.

Right off to see what elec/gas i've used - my second lot of figures going in so I'll see what i've spent this last week. Hopefully I won't topple backwards in shock  :D

Keep up the good work everyone and if your feeling a bit down (huggz) - go buy some choc and scoff the lot (I told you i'm not obsessed with choc  :rotfl: ) xx
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j
  • Marru - hope you're feeling better soon - I know how it feels when everything goes wrong all at once and you just want to cry in the corner. But once your DD is better it'll be ok. And your ex wanting you to go to his specialist sounds cheeky to me - he is a fully grown adult perfectly capable of understanding his treatment/asking q's if he doesn't.

Very fed up today - got a quote for guttering to be replaced and it's nearly £200! And still have to get prices for 2new radiators. Got lots more mystery shopping assignments organised for 2days next week and have 2 days of new job training too. I'm actually busier than when I was working full time! Having another NSD - need to so I can afford home improvements!!

Hope you feel better soon Marru, tomorrow is another day, so hopefully things will improve then.

I am all sore today, cause of humphing stuff around, I have to go back tonight and just finish off. The workers are there just now, but the supervisor (me), will inspect the place tonight. We are calling my mum Mrs Trebis, she is such a hoarder and I cannot believe that so much rubbish was in one place!!!

However, there is no room to do that in the new house, so there is no hiding place for Mrs Trebis and her rubbish.:rotfl:

My living room is now full of stuff that can be sold on at the car boot or on ebay/amazon, so I'll be getting busy with that soon. That'll help with my money neutral gift challenge.:T :T

I hope she makes the dinner tonight, I am fed up with takeaways, but I have printed off some offer flyers just in case. I can't wait to get back to normal so that I can do my own stuff and concentrate on the challenge ahead.

    Speak soon guys, xx

Candygirl, just a suggestion, feel free to ignore - what about humane traps and then releasing them at least 3 miles away (so they don't come back)?
Sorry to hear about the school shoes and guttering, extra spends like that are a real pain!
Just to let you know, Marru has an immediate plan of action and then we'll get things back on track later. I'm sure she appreciates all your kind words x
You're doing a lovely thing for your family SL, hang in there and you can focus on your personal challenge with us soon enough. Well done for printing off the vouchers, you have successfully reached the next level of frugalitis! :D
