    You sometimes hear of folks seeing remoskas in lakeland - reduced because of bashed boxes ;) so keep an eye out

    Since I had mine about 4 months ago the gas oven has gone on twice -and that was hubby doing pizza when I was in hospital :p
    I have 2 standard ones... I ordered 1 with the half pan-it went missing in the post -they sent a 2nd it didn't arrive :confused: so they sent a 3rd..then 1 day later the 2nd arrived -they told me to keep it for having to wait so long :j ... folks told me to sell it -but i kept it for those days when Im wanting to do more... if my mum hadn't got one she could have had it but no-one else I know would appretiate it :rolleyes: .....

    Ooh, exciting, I spy another West Country frugalite Angelatgraceland! :T There are quite a few of us now (Marru and I only live 10 mins from each other) but I think the Scots are still outnumbering us! Anyone else want to declare their allegience to the SW? :D

    I'm a lifelong Somerset-ian!

    No way, excellent! I'm in Bath, from Shepton originally... I must tally up how many of us there are at some point, we may have the edge over the Scots after all :rotfl:

  • I'm near Yeovil so not far away! I don't think we'll ever outnumber the Scots! My OH is Australian (but half scottish!) so I can't get away from them here! Makes the money saving thing easier though - deep pockets and short arms!!! :)

  • Goodmorning everyone. Hope you all have a good day today!

    A bit of an update on my situation. I have always driven a car since the age of 18. Last month I decided to sell it in view of starting the challenge.
    Well, today is my first day I will be cycling to work. Its not very far, 5 kms each way, but still, wish me luck! Reading City centre here I come, ready or not.....:rotfl:

    If it doesnt work out I keep thinking I can buy an electric scooter, right?:rolleyes:

    ==============================================================
    * When heating up water for a water bottle either when going to bed or during the day when at home, I dont fill it up completely and I dont let the boiler go all the way up to the maximum time. It saves both on water and electricity in my home, at least.:o
    * Yesterday I did smth for the first time ever! I got 3 pounds for it. I was at the supermarket I found 3 trolleys in the space of 10 minutes that people just left lurking about so took them back and got 3x1 pounds for my troubles. Straight into my savings pot. Oh yeah baby!:beer:
    *Gold is the money of kings; silver is the money of gentlemen; barter is the money of peasants; debt is the money of slaves* *Tough times never last but tough people do.* Days are long but years are way too short!:eek:

  • morning all. have had another rejig of the budget this morning and its shaping up nicely! hoping to create enough income through cashback sites and ebaying to cover the cost of a bigger henhouse in 2009!

    I have put a request for paving slabs on freecycle this morning, i will only need a max of ten for inside and just outside the greenhouse, fingers crossed i will get some kind person who wants rid of some!!!

    my dad bought me some privet for the front garden earlier in the year and I have about 14 large black pots from that which will be just perfect for the tomatoes!!

    inspired by mumoffour's (??) on the greenfingers board growing plans I will be spending some of the xmas holidays happily planning what to grow and where this coming year!!!

    Its all very exciting preparing for the coming years challenge!
