Hi everyone, just a flying visit as lots of work to do. I had a long post ready over the weekend and then the computer froze and I lost it all , since then I've tried to keep up with the posts and ended up with no time to post
So just a couple of well done's, firstly to Linda on house move, the 30th will be here before you know it.
Secondly, to Pipsmum - My 3 together weighed 11lb, (2lb 12, 4lb 6 & 3lb 14)all early, so I find it hard to imagine a 9lb+ baby let alone the larger ones. . I do hope you are getting lots of sleep and recovering well.
It's been and expensive few days here but mostly on buys for the farm although a couple of purchases slipped their way in for me too:o so I'll update that when I've a bit more time.
Time now to chop some more wood before the cooker goes out so I hope everyone has a good day.Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

I'm having a sort my finances day today - I would really love to get my debts cleared by the end of the year, one of them will be finished mid year, two this month and the biggy by the end of the year.
I'm going to increase the electric debt on my meter as it's down to it's last £55 so I'm just going to pay that off via the meter this week.
Council Tax needs paying by the end of this month - should be able to do that, plus pay off my argos card otherwise I'll get whalloped with interest and we can't be having that.
That leaves my cc and an old overdraft then I'll be debt free:j
I was also looking at purchases that will need to be made over the year i.e boys birthdays and of course christmas.
I have opened two new savings account (seem to be getting an obssession with opening savings account, shame I haven't got much to go in them!)
I opened one with shipton paying 5.41% as this is a christmas regular saver which can't be cashed in until November.
The other with ING to cover the costs of the boys birthdays, they both want a DS, and I've told them both that this is ALL they'll be getting - so I thought I could put the money away weekly and then I can just go find a bargain when the time comes, (one's in June, one in september).
And then of course there's the school uniform - the local uniform shop has a saving scheme and I need 3 jumpers,3 polos and 2 jackets which is the grand total of £98 so I'll be paying money into this. (Shame they can't have a normal uniform of plain jumper and a shirt - no theyhave polo's & jumper with the school badge on them)
I'll be paying into all of these on a weekly basis, so my spends may look high, but a lot of it is towards spends later on in the year.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

Picked up some bleach, screwdrivers and Xmas wrapping in the poundshop so just £3 so far. I know the screwdrivers wont last but even the expensive ones dont as in this house they walk off on their own somewhere never to return! Therefore-cheap is best!.
Going to see a show tonight (Joseph)but tickets bought last year. Eating in Pasta/pizza hut first just me and dd but ive got a voucher for 50% off so that wont sting me too much. Will take my own drinks for the show-I dont do queues! Also will need to pay for parking but that cant be helped.
Now-we should all be thinking ahead because as Martin has said beofre: Guess what? Christmas is the same date every year so lets not get in debt for it-lets save for it!
Saw that ad on for Park hampers again today-no way would I chance that-whats wrong with a savings account?Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

OK I spent a bit today. The 1911 census is now available online, and I bought some credits for £6.95. Well worth the money, I've been waiting over a year for it to become available. So that's ok.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

Nipped into Mr T (paper/dvd and a couple of bits) this morning, and spotted their latest offer on energy efficient lightbulbs....
They have a display of mixed wattages (screw & bayonet) by the door, marked up at 5 for 40p -- BUT they put them through at £1 each, then knock off 11p for the VAT adjustment, and THEN knock off the £4.60...... so you actually end up paying 29p for 5 bulbs :T
I got one lot of 5 'squat' 9w/40w bulbs (have a lot of uplighters, so find these the best for us) today, and may grab more tomorrow -- that way I have a complete set of spares for the houseCheryl0
