Sorry I thought you meant sad as in down. It's not sad that you love budgeting its brill !!! I find it very theraputic now and pride myself in being able to control my spending more. I popped into the bargain shopping area this morning and was looking through the boots thread as this tim last year I was addicted to collecting points. Whislt browsing I was thinking "oh that glitch sounds good - oh so does that one" - then I realised that none of the stuff I actually needed so it wouldnt be money saving.

I now am proud so say that I am no longer a spending, points collecting junkie. I am a budgeting junkie and very proud to be so:rotfl: :rotfl: :T

so if you are weird - then I am weird too - we should start up a weirdo budgeting group thread - what do you think - we could offer advice and tips to each other about ways to cut costs and keep records of how well we are doing on our budgets - and any naughty spends we have done ;)

  • Afternoon everybody - more advice needed please!
We currently have an interest only mortgage as we have been trying to utilise every penny we have to keep up to date with our unsecured debts. As mentioned previously we are about to start a DMP with CCCS - should I start paying my full mortgage and therefore allow less money to go into the DMP or carry on interest only and divert as much as possible to the unsecured creditors?

cheers .. will give them a call and see if they will accept that once the post has been this morning.

Well post has been and nothing from egg.
called their collections team who have no record of my letters over the past 4 weeks. (suprised .. I am not !!).
anyway, told them I had proof of delivery and its their fault, and I was looking for an answer.
The guy on the phone couldnt say yes of no to me there and thern so has referred me to their specialist lending team (Letter in the post already) so now Ill wait for a response.

  • Hi, can anyone give me reassurance, am on dmp with cccs but have to reduce this months payment as i have to repair my car. Have spoken to cccs about this and they say i can reduce this months payment, but am scared my creditors wont like this and start ringing me again, dont really want to reduce payment but have to. Has anybodyelse done this just for the one month? and then gone back to normal payments the next month.

Yep i have before , it was when i was with a fee paying firm, but still didnt have problems from creditors...it was only for one month and before they had chance to realise the payments had lowered they had gone back up again, so if you get any calls you can just tell them `no payments will be back to normal next month.` Any problems just refer them to cccs and hang up
