Have just noticed that at the bottom of the letter it says: Triton Credit Services is a trading name of The Royal Bank Of Scotland. :) Cheeky monkeys.

Hi everyone well .....where do I start?

First of all I think I will be here for a long long time....so can I please have a number? Thanks:beer:

okay I have just started a DMP with Think Money Group (Gregory Pennington) and they have just paid the first payment to my creditors....all in all I have 6 credit cards (Mint, RBS, MBNA, Halifax, Lloyds TSB and BOS), 2 loans both with Halifax one with PPI and one without, 2 mobile bill debts (Orange and Vodafone for £160 each) and 2 overdrafts with Abbey and HBOS total debt approximately £52,000.

ON top of that I have 2 secured loans on my house one for £15k and the other for £52k - dont ask? The one for £15k is with Welcome Finance and the other with First Plus - 2 of the worst financial institutions I have ever came across.

Am hoping to get the PPI back from WF and FP too which would come to £15k in total and reduce or pay off the smaller loan? Fighting it with FSO just now. So much happening.

Am comfortable now dealing with my creditors on the telephone and just tell them GP are dealing with this and give them ref no etc. We are going to review this in about 6 months time as we may qualify for a Trust Deed after that and that would get rid of the debt in 3 yrs. Fingers crossed. I am now watching what I spend, eat and dont waste anything. I have a 2nd job doing private hire which covers my gas electric and petrol each week and pays for my son's childcare, am really coping better than I was say about 4 months ago.

I had a bad car crash nearly 2 yrs ago and have just never managed to get myself back on my feet after it. Just been so down and buried my head in sand, arguing with husband and family constantly but now am less stressed and moving forward. I have read alot of the posts in this thread and you are all very supportive and helpful so here;s hoping I am not beyond help:rotfl:

Anyway names Tracey so thanks again x

Ianmak - can I have a number please :) I'm gonna be here a while (as you can see from the sig!). From all my reading up on harassment this weekend, I think I can help pay for my number ;)

All has been quiet on the Halifax front - but I'm ready for them if they want to play the harassment game again. :p

EGG - just to warn those who have had nice calls with them - I had those too. EGG aren't playing ball with CCCS though. They've queried my name (because they have my married name and CCCS have my "new" name, which is my married name plus my maiden name), and they've also refused to accept the offer because they "have no Record of the Account". They said my account was going to DCA but I've not heard from a DCA, and today I got a letter saying I had to contact them to sort the account out or they'll take legal action. So I've sent them a secure message, confirming that I'm on a DMP with CCCS, gave them the Client Ref and said that CCCS were authorised to deal on my behalf. Just can't be bothered with their silly behaviour!

    Thanks Eriberri

The woman that phoned from Egg was very nice, but I shall definitely be keeping an open mind... Watch this space. Hope all goes well with your DMP>

Hi all, has anyone got any experience of offering full and final settlements? I'm thinking of offering 20% - any thoughts?
    My creditors are 50% DCA's.

Well, there's no harm in trying, but I'm not sure they'll accept. I should think 30-40% is the minimum?
