Hi all
Been battling debt a long time, am not sure if I ever had a number as a few months back I signed up but then ended up the CCCS just put the plan in my husband's name. However now sadly my company has gone under meaning I've inherited huge amounts of debt that I had personally guaranteed so have had to enter a CCCS plan as well myself. CCCS recommending bankruptcy but for now they have said make £1 token repayments while I decide what to do.
Can I have a number if I don't already have one please?
Thanks in advance :-)0 -
Hi everyone - so many newbies. hope everyones DMP is running smoothly.
Sorry I havent been online for a while - what with battling with ill health and through the courts ( residency order - nothing to do with debt) I just havent had much time to myself.
After the benefits last month paying my money into the old halifax account by mistake I had to miss the CCCS payment 1st April - CCCS were brilliant about it and told me that if anyone contacted them about it - they would inform them of what had happened and that the Halifax had refused to release the money. So far no one has been in contact but they are not expecting to get their payments until about 28th from CCCS so I guess its early days.
Life has been hectic and I have had many letters saying that I am in default - but I have not stressed myself out about them I have just filed them in my new CCCS folder - so far none of my debts have been passed to debt collection agencies but it has been threatened.
Capital One have been great and have frozen interest as have Next - so I am going to try and find the April CCCS payment to give to them in the next few days and they have been brill from the start and I dont wish to rock the boat with them.
Have a great day everyone.

My cashminder account has been excellent too, with online access. Also now have a savings account linked to it, which is handy.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430

I've opened up a Natwest Step account. Just waiting in eagerness for it to be opened so I can leave my old overdrawn bank account behind! My creditors will be finding out in the next day or so, so I'm preparing myself for the forthcoming battle!Total Debt as of January 2010: £61,234

Hi,
I also opened a Natwest Step Account and just received all the paperwork so down to my local branch to get fully opened in the next few days!!
I have decided to take a long weekend from work so I can get all my paperwork together and forwarded to CCCS, aprehensive but also relieved to be doing something. Hoping to get me DMP in place for the 1st June. I am dreading what Barclays, my current bank, are going to do as I have 2 x loan, o/d and barclaycard totalling approx 23.5K. One of the loans has 18K o/s and I am just worried alot about this.
Anyone got experince of anything similar???
On a positive note, I am currently sat in front of a pile of credit card bits which I have enjoyed cutting up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just keep looking at them and wondering how these shiny bits of plastic got me into soooo much strive  but I am a little weird.Faced up to debts April 2009: £43099:eek:
