Ok - so that didnt take very long at all!
Natwest CC has disappeared off my online accounts completelyso have no idea what that means as they rejected my DMP payment offer, loan and o/d are there...no charges on the loan despite them rejecting DMP. O/D has interest plus a 30 quid charge!!!
Mint and Capital One have restricted my access totally and Egg cc are still charging interest and now overlimit fees!
xx
I had a similar problem with viewing my accounts online msc. I wonder why they do that? If you can't view, you can't keep a proper handle on things, and so you have to wait for the dreaded statement in the post instead. It's almost like they're taking their bat and ball home cos we won't play to their rules. Childish. Good luck with your DMP."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something"0 -

Would i be better holding off on the DMP until after next Jan & seeing if I can get a better mortgage deal so I have more available cash?
Also a couple of our debts are small ones, a couple of overdrafts, one for £600 and one for £250, and a next directory account which is £700, would it seem more sensible to try & clear these up first too (although havent a clue how) rather than add them to the DMP & drag them out over years? (have been quoted ten years to pay back all debt if interest all stopped)
I started my DMP in Oct (I think!), and my Fixed Rate runs out in July. Start as soon as you can, then when your FR runs out you can either add the spare cash (hopefully the SVR will still be lower!) to your DMP which will please your creditors, or hold off for a few months to build a fund (Though if you have a creditor linked to the mortgage, they may know you have that money available?)DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -
Hi Becks, nice to hear you managed your first month.
I was the same as you, paid on the 20th, skint by the 28th, charges by the 1st.
Looking at my bank account now I have £80 left and I get paid tomorrow. About £60 was roughly what CCCs had allowed for re car repairs etc but I have managed to save bits and pieces here and there and saved 20 quid !!
Feels good and my goal is to try and save a bit more next month.DMP member 265

Most companies I think block access maybe because you've breached your T&Cs, and certainly now I've a number of defaults, they've effectively terminated my account, so no access.
Regarding budgets, mine were inflated at the start, and to tell the truth, I needed it to adjust to budgeting, and to pay off other people and a payday loan (there was no chance of me adding that!)
As for spending at christmas, start saving now, and not being funny, but don't spend as much! I know you can't do that if you have kids (and I don't...). Or start buying now, or in the sales? Foodwise we massively overspend at christmas so I'm sure cutbacks can be made there. bread and jam anyone?DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -
Hi Guys,
I may be in a fortunate position........... Basically my MBNA account has gone to a DCA who have muted they may take a Full and Final at 20%. I am having to borrow this money from a relative but still it will write off a large chunk of debt. Am waiting to hear if it will be acceptable.
My question is that if this goes ahead then the DMP payments will be nearing what my minimum contractual payments were with my other creditors before we started on the DMP.
So what happens do you continue on the DMP or do the others say you appear to be sorted now your accounts can run as normal?
Was thinking of keeping my DMP payments to my other creditors the same and using the money i was paying to MBNA to pay my relative back. Will this be allowed?0 -
I have continued with dmp even though my lowest creditor is only owed £45 now, they get £1.31 a month and have agreed to this, all 6 of my crediotors will be paid off on the same day my dmp ends( in approx 30 months)
When i moved over to payplan i considered paying off my 2 smaller creditors but i am so used to the budget i thought why change things.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
I worry a bit about presents and stuff too! As my budget is very tight!
(But, however not as tight as when i was trying to do it without the dmp!)
But I still don't think i have a lot spare, if any, for presents and certainly no room for an actual budget for it (like i'd hoped).
I definitely think you should change the petrol budget, and before it actually starts if possible. and also do you have everything else that's you're allowed. Like there's a hair cut budget and certain other things that i probably won't use but means i do have enough to live on.
I think one of our problems is we have sky + and sky multiroom and there is technically nothing allowed for this! I'd like to keep it and i think we'll be able to if we're careful but if it proves to not be enough this may have to go! Do you have anything like that you can cut back on?
The lady who helped me set mine up kept saying it was supposed to help so had to be realistic and leave you enough to live on.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -
Hi guys
I'm in the process of changing banks (although I don't know whether I'll be accepted) - is it easy to change banks? I'm just waiting to hear back from NatWest. My DMP is starting in April and if I don't get this bank account, I don't know what I'll do - but I've also been looking at these prepaid cards and I think I'll have to go with that if I don't get the bank account? Does anyone have any advice?
I'm a little worried now.
Just want everything to be ready for April.
Thank you in advance!!

Mine was easy to open. did most of it online and they changed over all dd's (which i ended up having to cancel obviously, coz most were cc's etc).
But it should be fine and not a problem!
I get a VISA debit with my new Lloyds account and have had no problems using it anywhere (oinline too). Oh and i used to have a Maestro card with my Natwest bank and never had any problems with that either (except assecorize i think it was!)!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -
Hi there
Got my CCCS envelope today and am putting together all the creditor's details to send off to them. I only have online statements for a few of my cards - can I just sent CCCS the details with the current balance? Also I do not have the paperwork for a loan, only the address and reference no. Will this be OK?
Thanks for any help.
