1st prize to LM, yes I finally got a job. To start with 20 hours a week, a nice way to start me thinks not having worked for 2 years. Thanks all for your good lucks and wishes. Finally after 2 years I feel as though I'm worth something and not totally useless. Start beginning of Feb.

My wife also made it through the funeral ok with the support of her two brothers. They all just left here after having a drink.

    Finally a ray of sunshine.

Well done, that's great news, am really pleased for you.

Hopefully it'll be my turn next week, I've sent off a job application for a job I really want with Mind - I am working p/time at the moment but its only a 6 month temp contract and although I've been really honest about my mental health probs, my employer is not making any effort to support me or make any allowances under the DDA. They have already admitted they have acted unfairly by not making my post permanent after 3 yrs of renewing 6 month temp contracts whilst taking on other staff on permanent contracts in the meantime so I could take action against them but I really don't want to and I don't think it would be beneficial for my health to do that. So I am desperate to find something else before I end up just walking out.

I should find out on Monday if I've got an interview and interviews are next friday so not too long to wait.

    When do you start?

I'm glad the funeral went well too.

Hope you get good news Whitevanwoman - sounds like you'd be better off out of the job you have now, and I hope you get the job you want.
    How are you today Rose07?
I've had a good day today, not done much but feel quite relaxed this evening - got a stressful weekend coming up, so have been resting a lot today so I can cope!

Hi WVW, that really sucks that they don't make you permanent, hopefully you find the strenght not to walk out at least this way you are there and when you feel upto to it why not try and take some action.

I have to go back on Monday to sign the contract and start 02/02/09.

I swear I have fractured a rib! One of my ribs is killing me and has been ever since I had my fall.
If it doesn't get better by Monday then the doctors it is, which should be oh so much fun as I still haven't gone back about my mental health. Hmm. :rotfl:
