Another games site you can possibly win money from is Shockwave.com although youhave to play certain games to gain tokens which you then exchange for entries into the prize draw.

If you have a website you can also can also open an affiliate account with them.

    Pasted from Shockwave site:

    "Commission
Earn 25% commission on all download game sales (average price per game is $19.95 USD)
Earn $10 for every new Shockwave UNLIMITED trial membership
No limit to how much you can earn
30 Return Days mean that you can get credit for all game sales and subscription transactions in the first 30 days from the time that customer first arrives on the Shockwave site.
Extensive Links! Choose from our top text links and banners. Drop us a line if you need a specific banner made for your site."

This is an American site and the prizes are offered in $ so don't know what the implications are if you are a Uk winner.

I have also used Pigsback where you can earn/win "Piggy Points" which can be exchanged for vouchers/cash. Pigsback is a Uk site.

It would be useful if people would state in what country these money making sites are based.

    Regards

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Hi All

I've found jewellery to be a nice little earner for me.
I sell silver jewellery and body piercing items to friends, family online and directly to shops and businesses.
I buy everything from a company called Avantgarde Jewellerry

    www.AG-JEWELS.COM
    www.silver-thailand.com

I sell quite a bit of their silver jewellery and also
    their body jewellery
( they have a large range of belly bars)

When you look at their websites
remember that these are retail prices and not the prices you would be given.

What i do is make a note of the items i'm interested in and them i call/email their office and get a wholesale price.
I've found them really fantastic to work with.

When i first started they let me order only about 60.00 which was brilliant.

I haven't found any other company that would let me order such a small amount and still give me the wholesale price.
One customer took the whole amount and i had only had the stuff for four days.
I then had the money to order more stuff straight away.

I wasn't expecting one customer to take everything .
I started off selling to friends, families and as i saw how popular the jewellery was and is my confidence just grew and i started approaching shops and selling online.

I now sell online and to friends, family, shops, jewellers, market
traders and with the belly bars i've started selling to tattoe/piercing studios.

I also sell to office workers.
you know how you have sandwich companies that go into offices to sell their sandwiches i do the same thing with my jewellery.

It's really interesting to see the different things that office workers buy.

If you want to ask me any questions
then please feel free to do so or contact them directly.

I don't work for Avantgarde Jewellery,i just buy their jewellery
and sell it myself in on myself in a variety of different ways.
I just find them a great company to deal with because they
    are so flexible.

    All the Best

There's a new site called completelynovel.com. It doesn't have quite as many printing options as Lulu but it is a lot cheaper to print books and you're more likely to sell them as you publish into a social community. Worth a look

    Hi there,
Not sure if this is the place to put this but I am helping organise a national children's sizing survey. This is in conjuntion with Next, George at Asda and Monsoon. They are offering a £5 voucher for children, £5 for the accompanying adult and £5 for participating schools (per pupil registered) to encourage parents to bring their children along to be scanned (totally safe white light scanning). So far we have scanned in Birmingham - are just about to start Manchester and will be starting Loughborough in the next month. Any suggestions about how I can put this correctly on this site? I, as a Money Saving Newbie would want to know about this if I lived in the relevant areas. What do others think?

Am I too late for this one? If not, how do I get involved?
  • Dixie2, surely advertisers of any quality do their own proof-reading and spell checking?

There is no address on the website, it seems a bit amateurish, just someone's "good idea". I wonder how many advertisers have signed up to this scheme.
