Is there any catalogue companies a bit like avon, partylite etc where i could do the promoting part of it than the actual host a party?
I know of one but i just wondered if there was others. I am very good at promoting and working hard too get sales via online, family, friends, word of mouth but not quite outgoing enough for party hosting.0 -
Avon involves no parties, unless you want to. I think Phoenix too, betterware, kleeneze0

I do Betterware and typically it's around 10-12 hours per week but you could do full time if you wanted. I know I could save a couple of hours a week by being more organised! You're supposed to put out 250 catalogues a week minimum then go back and collect them 2-3 days later. As a Distributor you get 20% commission of any orders that are placed and paid for. Handy for earning some extra cash if you've got the time and patience to build the round up as some people don't order until they see you'll come back. Also really helps if you quite like walking and have a car, as i'd imagine most areas without a car would be tough. Can be a little restrictive as you pretty much have to do it every week unless you're away on holiday. Sometimes it doesn't fit round my main job too well and could really do with not doing it for a week, especially if I have to go round in the evening doing it which I don't like.
The best bit for me was didn't cost me anything, no catalogues or stationery to buy. If the customer has thrown it away/lost it/left it in middle of garden for rain to soak it etc it's not so much of a problem unlike some other catalogues where distributors have to pay for them.
You earn money pretty quickly soon after starting assumuing people buy the stuff, some areas are better than others. It definetley takes perserverance and some days really don't feel like doing it, then you get a £60 order which makes up for it a bit!0
