you could buy a 500w 12v to 240v invertor. and a kettle under 500w (if possible, check caravan accesory places)
a lot of wires and messing for a hot coffee.
would it be too hard for him to stop off at a snack van when the urge takes him?...work permit granted!0 -

Pretty hard in central London to park & buy tea (at £2 a cup:eek: ).
To park up, you need to find somewhere quite, if there are cafes, there won't be parking.
He'd drink 6 mugs (or more a day).0 -
I'd suggest that if he's working he's wanting coffee instantly, when he doesn't have a fare - and a fare can jump in at any minute, so having to park up and wait to make water would mean it'd never happen. I'd look at getting one of those old-fashioned milk bottle stands people used to have by their front door/similar to what the milkmen used to carry, then buy some £2 flasks from Asda to fit into it. He can keep that in the boot and have one flask always in the cab with him.
Gadgets seem nice, but when you read the detail they often don't do the job you wanted them to.
e.g. similar to this sort of idea: http://www.thefrenchhouse.net/images/image/image_url/252/wide/bottle_Carrier_1.jpg0 -

thats a fair idea. get him 6 mini flasks, they are about 1 mug each,he only needs to open one at a time, a flask will start to get cold when its openned,if its not openned then it should stay warmer for longer.

He put it on the road while he was getting something from the back & knocked it over:rolleyes:0 -
I think you are making a fuss out of nothing, as per usual MrsE.
Why on earth he can't join you at the Savoy for tea (you practically live there), I will never know. Or do you like keeping him out in the cold and away from your rich toy boys?
Sorry Goldie, it had to be said. You may be one of her toy boys, but you are not rich, she likes slumming it with you on occasion. Nothing like a coarse Scotsman - her words, for a bit of rough.Genie
