Apart from a job interview, do you go around your office bragging about how qualified you are? Whether you intended it to be perceived as bragging or not, that's the impression I got from some of your posts.

If you do really work in the public sector as you have already mentioned, then you will already know it is a thankless task, everyone hates the Council/Government, "I pay you wages" etc.

You should be used to feeling undervalued by now and past caring about whether people actually thank you for your posts in this forum.

classic. why do people feel the need to be horrid to someone? you merely prove the op right- there are some rude offensive gits on here. if u dont agree there is still no need to be horrible and make things personal. thats what i dont get and dont like here

I often report threads in the vent section which are not about consumer issues. Sometimes they get deleted if the mods are on the ball. Sometimes they are left. I'm suprised they've left this one but hey it is their choice.

A lot of people complain about the 'white noise' on the forum without actually doing anything about it. If you let threads like this stay on the boards then other people will think it is OK to have their 5 minutes of fame while 'flouncing'.

If Martin doesn't care about that well that's fair enough. But I've seen other forums go to hell in a handbasket because stuff wasn't addressed early enough. If you aint part of the solution then you're part of the problem etc etc.

Just because you have a degree in shopping doesn't mean you are right 100% of the time.
You came across as a pompous, arrogant to55er who felt personally insulted if people didn't agree with you.
I would chuckle when someone would give perfectly valid advice and then you came along with EXACTLY the same advice a few hours later. Why bother posting if the correct advice has already been given?
You can quote legislation untill the cows come home but advice such as "try to get a refund from a different till operator" is just as valid.
As for leaving, yeah right. You will still be reading this post and be itching to reply.
