  • morning my lovely flyfriends!!!

I did surface about 9 but I have only just managed to catch up on the thread!!

greenbee I wouldnt want your end of year jobs for anything!!! Hope you feel better today and that the builder has finished and sorted the floor tiles properly.

hippy not you honey it was me that got confused!! Glad OH has been in touch - you know where you are now so get cracking girl and make it sparkle !!! Hope he showers you with loads of hugs and kisses!!!!

boddy thats a terrible thing to do- I know a young man in a similar position and it is tearing him apart - I hope it all works out for GS - more positive thoughts coming his way.

lauraD I used to clean off what I could with a stiff brush and then use the shower head and a stiff dish brush and cloth - dont let them get toooo wet but they can stand being washed and let them dry off naturally not near strong heat HTH

Lil_me huge hugs honey - I have tears try to type this just thinking about you and megan and a pain in my stomach. I had to do the same many years ago and it still hurts.

MOF77 what a great principal you have there and that is so brilliant that things are moving on - dont ever be afraid to ask for help. Hope you have a good vist with Dh and Gran is comfortable.

Supergirl Hi babes - was wondering where you was!!!! Chinese has high sugar content unfortunately as I love it too - there are some that are a bit less. Glad the treatment has been ok so far for wee man - his Mum will get there too! Oh RIP the WM!!! glad it didnt develop into another kitchen disaster like pigpen had. But what a bummer for the budget!!!!! Ther are quite a lot of reductions just now though so hope you can manage something.

pink F hope the Ab's work quickly - at least you know now what has been causing you the problems - take it easy - that probably fell on deaf ears!!!

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

    Right!
Cocktail cabinet cleaned out - glasses in two batches - one for charity shop and t'other being washed to be put back in all sparkling! Maybe there'll be some room for some 'refreshment;)' in there too, now. Draining rack full so am letting them drip while the cabinet dries out, and have wrapped almost all the glasses for charity shop but now need to source some more newspaper.
Feeling like things are getting done, now!

DSD phoned at 11.30, to say she wouldn't get here till 4.30, she slept late for work -2 1/2 hours late - so don't think it's worth bothering going to Asda, but she does want a lift home and she works by argos so going to pick up my reserved item then, really need to get out of the house now!!!
  • Just a complete unrelated question......Does anyone tip their binmen and postmen?

I was organising cards last night and wrote out one for both.....my dad came over and said he had never tipped any of these in his life!! My postman is always the same one as are the bin men, and they are very good to me....esp when i forget to leave the bins out!!!! The post man always leaves my parcles in the garage....or around the back behind certain planters...and leaves me a note to say where they are!!
So I tip them every year!!

I used to tip, but we never seem to have the same postman for long, and we don't see much of our binmen (we have to leave bins by the road about 30 yards from house) so I wouldn't know.

Soappie - I had those error messages on FF as well. I never use IE.

Valli - stop gloating! :p Anyway, I need the ABs to work fast or Christmas will be two weeks later here than anywhere else! :rotfl:At least I've done an online shop!
