    Hi everyone,
    Hope you are all well.
Just a quickie to say I am bowing out again this week.
Still doing my chores, just don't have time to come on here and post them!
    Take care and God bless.

    WM x 2
    Breakfast dishes washed
Dough for 4 loaves on first rising

    To Do -
    1. Cancel TV licence DD - signal is going off in June, so I've paid up to then already! Done.
    2. Put Christmas money from Mum into bank to stop us falling over the brink of our overdraft. Don't want to pay charges. Done. I feel relieved that we're no longer hanging over the edge, but I was hoping to be able to treat myself with that money. Oh well.
    3. Start wrapping pressies for children - I need to see if I have enough paper. Made a good start, lost track of time and missed Doctors!
    4. Pigpen's list Yeah, yeah - later. :rolleyes::rotfl:
    5. Make biscuits with DD2  (the mess, the mess ):eek::eek: Still not done
    6. Shopping for bits for DD1's cooking lesson tomorrow - apple strudel. Done.
    7. Started making carrot, butterbean and coriander soup to use up the bargain organic carrots I bought a couple of weeks ago.
    8. Just remembered I need to finish sewing on the badges on DSs cubs uniform. He needs it tomorrow night
Just off to pick up DS from school now.

I have put my bedroom nets back up and put the laundry away.

Ds2 is back from nursery so i'm not sure how much more i'll get done.
  • I'm sure I'm not the first to feel like this. Basically I moved out of home and in with my boyfriend 8 months ago. We both work full time and I am also studying part time in my 'spare time' (what ever that is!). We only have a small house and there is only the two of us but I feel like its always a complete mess and loads of jobs i.e.washing, ironing piling up around me! My boyfriend has an hours comute each way to work which I know is not that strange any more and although I work 9-5 most days i have to do late nights (7ish), on-call nights and weekend work on a rota system. We live over an hour away from our family and friends which means we seem to be away fairly often on weekends (and all christmas) but on the plus side no one can drop in unanounced and see how we're struggling.

I have a week off in january after a busy christmas and new year and want to completly clean the house from top to bottom and do all the jobs I never seem to have time to do. After that I would love to get into a routine to keep on top of the chores, find time to do all the study I need to do and also have some free time to relax or spend time with my partner, family or friends. Does any one have any tips/solutions that work? old school or otherwise

Cooking wise I don't think we do too bad. I enjoy cooking and make most things from scratch and then freeze them. Our weekly shop varieys from £30 or less on quiet weeks to up to £50 on top up weeks (i think we spend less than £200 a month). But any time saving tips appreciated.

    Thanks

Try the Old Style Flylady thread - this week's is here ;) There are recommended lists or you can make up your own (what I do :D ). You'll then get motivation, and tips on how to get the home you want :T

I'll add this thread to that one later.

Sorry manic day but thought I best pop in to say

Juliejim, jjef, Gryfon and Flower your cards have all arrived today in the set of parcels that were held up at the Post office. Thank you aswell for the treats for the boys. Juliejim your parcel had my postman spooked, who had them on his front seat when they started talking to him :rotfl: , boys love them x They are now going to wash the chocolate off their hands before the party. I've got them booked in for haircuts before we go to collect Matthew who I hope doesn't scream the first time he meets Santa :D special (honourary) Aunty job of taking him to see Santa for the first time :D while his Mam gets some wrapping done (which is the main reason I am taking him to give them a break, I know what it's like to just have when they are in bed on a night and feel shattered) Best go see if I can find DPs camera......

Catch up with you all later, hope you are all ok xxx
