Changes to t-mobile solo contracts!! LOOOK!

hi guys, i hav a solo 15 contract with t-mobile, i looked on their website yesterday and they changed their price plans on solo 15 and solo 20

solo 15 now has unlimited texts
solo 20 now has free mobile internet

i rang up t-mobile and told them of the solo 15 unlimited texts and they changed my solo 15 which was on 650 texts to unlimited straight away! so anyone who has solo 15 or solo 20 ring up t-mobile and you can get unlimited txts (solo 15) or free mobile internet (solo 20)!

Called T-Mobile today and now I get unlimited texts. Great!
  • I tried this earlier, on solo 20, and they said I would have to cancel my current contract and then start an new one to get the free mobile internet. Is there something I should have said to get them to just change it over? Thanks.

hi all i said was that it says on your website that you offer unlimited texts with the solo 15 and the lady said stragiht away ok i'll jus add that to your account. 5 mins later it was done. mayb u shud phone again sometimes depends on the person who picks up cos some of them are lazy!
  • I called tmobile yesterday and got the same response as Meicwilliams did, I`m also on solo 20
  • It shouldn't be a case of who ever you get on the phone (sounds like a lucky dip! lol) I've never seen anyone not get it when they've been put through to loyalty. Not actually sure what the policy is on the solo contracts but i'm sure it can be done.

agree with Princess at the end of the day can give 30 day notice and leave to other network, to for example O2 which have similar deal. Like someone on other thread who sign up to O2 simplitiy instore and didnt realise about SMS or something. After called CS they change him over. So to meicwilliams, I think you should call again and say I want to leave.. (ie ask for your PAC.) They will say why, cause of Unlimited SMS O2 are offering and I am sure they will add it on to your tariff on the stop to keep you. Rememeber it is easier / cheaper to keep an existing customer than to get a new one.
  • Thanks everyone, I did exactally what iceburn said and they have now upgraded me!
  • I`ll try again also, thanks for the info everyone.
  • Hi, I was trying to do the same thing on Solo 20 but after multiple phone calls the best they could offer was to close my account then reopen it!

So I'm trying to get around it by switching to Solo 15 (starting this month) then will "upgrade" to Solo 20 and hopefully get the Solo 20!
  • Hi I am on t-mobile solo 20

My mobile phone is a samsung SGH-E250. Was wondering for those who are on same plan as mine, are you having any difficulty in sending and receiving picture messages, because i have been for a few weeks. My friend has the same phone as me, but with O2, she is also having problems. Not sure if it is the phone or the plan?

Are there any restrictions on the plan about how much picture messaging i can send and receive? I have gone through all the trouble shotting on the website, had a configuration text send for GPRS/Email and Picture Messaging and still doesn't work.

Haven't phoned them yet, but think i will need to
