Public sector workers do make pension contributions. This seems to be overlooked on here. I know pension-wise we get a good deal, but there are perks in other jobs that we don't get.
Public sector dont get sacked for being useless
They dont do anything ..............ever................ at all
They are surrounded by equally inefficient retards so have no real point of reference as to how to be actually be worthwhile.
They work to invented budgetsthat get re invented if they fail (which they do)
ONLY public service workers claim they do a good job!!! everyone else says 'try that crap in the real world you wont last 5 minutes'
Only public sector workers think 5 minutes takes a fortnight to implement!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The one where you showed us Dithering Dad is a complete liar. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE Forum Team0 -

Strange then, isn't it, that some of us live a double life, both in and out of this sheltered existence.
Not an insignificant number also get tired of the poor conditions and go out, permanently, into this 'real world,' where they become richer & more successful.
I guess it's a 'heads I win, tails you lose' situation, because once they leave completely, they never come back.0 -
Here are today's examples of hopeless management in the pubic sector. Doubtless some will point out that a private company was involved. If public service managers choose to delegate the work however it remains their responsibility to ensure that they have chosen a suitably qualified contractor and they supervise the work properly. It has taken them decades to spot the error.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7784883.stmTens of thousands of retired NHS, armed services and other public sector staff will learn later how their pensions came to be overpaid for decades.A "stupendously incompetent" government efficiency drive designed to save £57m has left taxpayers with an £81m bill, a report by MPs says.

I am fed up with public sector social engineering and I am tired of public servants behaving like our masters. I don't want to have my visits to the cinema ruined by public service announcements of children being killed in road accidents, I don't want to hear threatening announcements from the DSS on the radio (their advertisement is obscene), I don't want find regulations for everything I do. I want the public servants to get their noses out of schools and leave the job to the teachers. I want to be left alone to live my life dangerously if I choose.0 -

Yes they do, all the time.
They dont do anything ..............ever................ at all.
Moron.

I'm not sure as to your point of reference TBH.
They work to invented budgetsthat get re invented if they fail (which they do)
I'm sure it happens that said budgets are very tight and certainly tighter than in the private sector, but then again I'm sure one or two banks and other financial institutions hav revised their budgets if you know what I mean
ONLY public service workers claim they do a good job!!! everyone else says 'try that crap in the real world you wont last 5 minutes'.
I've worked in both, and they're about as bad as each other.
Only public sector workers think 5 minutes takes a fortnight to implement!
Can you provide an example of this please.
You are a lonely and embittered little man who probably failed a £12000 a year job interview for your local council."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

For the vast majority of private sector workers (many, many who are on minimum wage, don't receive generous holidays, generous pensions, flexitime working or even sick pay) I'd be interested in to know what perks are generally available to us that you don't get. Please advise.0 -

An uncalled for series of ad hominem attacks. Pretty poor coming from someone who hasn't worked out how the quote function works!0
