No worries. You had me wondering for a minute.:rotfl:
Seeing espresso's post from the Havoline website clears it up somewhat!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Well as you appear to nothing about oil viscosity, why did you post?
:rolleyes:I recommended the correct oil, and the discussion about viscosity was with Landy.

I'm still not sure :rotfl:

You're getting really confused now! I didn't post a Halvoline website, however I believe that the Asda 10W/40 is actually supplied by Texaco Halvoline. I have used it many times. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I Googled oil viscosity and it had that Valvoline blurb top of the page, I presumed you'd plagerised it:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Get off the high horse

You actually recommended a 15W40 mineral oil.
:rolleyes:10w 40 will more likely be a synthetic based oil and 15w 50 (Usually 15w 40?) will be mineral based. At that age a 15w40 would be better IMO.
Do you really have 15 years experience in the motor trade!

What's wrong with that? Most mineral oils ive ever sold are 15w40. 20w50 is the next grade up, but never heard of 15w50??? 15w40 is the right spec, and i'd still recommend it:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. 10w40 will be a sythetic based oil and too thin for that age car...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. To the OP you are fine with what you have chosen or the other, any new oil is better than your old oil.
For the rest have a read of this http://mx5oc.co.uk/forum/forums/t/332.aspx0
