Thanks OP just ordered mine through Quidco, looks good for the £5 cashback.

Quidco state PAYG offers exclude the handsets:Sony Ericsson K200i,Motorola F3,Nokia 3110.

Bet they'll add Motorola W180 soon.

FYI if you are buying the phone and want to keep the SIM from being disconnected:

Remember if the phone is unlocked you can still use the SIM with another phone or this phone . If you want to keep you Orange PAYG sim alive and retain the credits here are some tips.
    • A call needs to be made from the phone (even just to 453 to check the balance) within 6 months of the last call or the sim will be deactivated (but the credit will remain).
    • If its not used for more than 12 months, any credit will be lost and you will lose your phone number.

Keeping the phone as a spare?
Remember to take the battery out of the phone for long term storage. And keep the battery flat (just leave the phone on until it drains, then take the battery out of the phone. Leaving the battery in the phone does is not best for storage.)

A spare phone in the car?
If you are keeping the phone for an emergency in the car etc the battery will retain its charge longer if you take the battery out. If you do this please wrap the phone and battery in plastic. The battery can short if it touches metal items so best not to stuff it in the dashboard!

Also grab a car charger from a £1 shop (test it works!) and keep it in the car. Get a case as well if you use the phone it will last much longer and be more reliable. Ebay has some cases as do the £1 stores. If you want a good case try Krusel, not cheap but a good range of clips etc. However at this price point the £1 store is the best bet!

    Charging ANY phone via USB.
Many phones cannot be charged fully via USB. The specs for USB offer a limited current. To get maximum battery life.
    • Charge the battery from the mains
    • Give it an initial charge of at least 16 or 24 hours
    • Allow it to drain fully at least every 6 months

Tops ups via USB are possible but use a car or mains charger.

Does anyone have links to review of this phone? It seems to have the enhanced voice clarity technology and a speaker phone.
    Seth.
  • Just ordered one - after my old one died, I've been using a dinosaur I found at the back of the drawer - ideal - muchos ta!

Will keep the credit for emergencies & Orange Wednesdays

Bought one of these last night as DD's has died from the terrible death that afflicts abused mobiles...
Anyhow, had a call from MBNA security this morning about an "unusual transaction" of £1 to a telecommunications fim in London. Didn't recognise it, so hung on to speak to a real person.
Apparently, it was Carphone warehouse. They make a test purchase of £1 to check the card's OK, then take the balance. Apparently, fraudsters also do this as well, to test a card number before going on a massive spending spree once it's OKed.
Thought I'd post here so others don't start panicking about cloning etc if it happens to them.
Hats off to the security staff at MBNA for spotting it & checking when they must have many millions of transactions going through at this time of year!
