    Hi guys

I'm very impressed that you all made your own swiss rolls, I would of just bought them!

I seem to remember from home ec that a slightly damp tea towel make the swiss easier to roll.

Sorry that this tip is probably to late to help, but at least it's in time if you make another.

Yep - the damp tea towel is good. Also good for cleaning the disasters on the floor! (Been there, done that 160). There have been a few times when nobody has known that I've made a cake 'cos the cat got it or it was such a disaster that the waste disposal unit got it!
  • If anyone is reading this in awe (like me) and knows they have no hope of achieving such a marvellous feat (like me!) then I can recommend Tesco Finest's Yule log. It is delicious!! The thick choc icing is sublime! If you are fat and pregnant like me then you can eat a whole one in two days!!

  • Well, thanks!

But I am still proud of the yule log feat. Although not so proud when I think that I should have perhaps shared it with hubby + son!!
