  • This is awful she should not be mentioning you to the children in a bad light. If she does not like the style of clothes you buy then she s welcome to buy clothes and keep them there for when the children visit .I hope the mp acts on this ,she should be paying her FAIR share to you and your partner for the day to day care of the children.I wish you ,your partner and children a lovely christmas and hope she has to pay up .Children need support in all forms .
From PP also a step parent with full time care

The mother of my three children left 7/8years ago i was on benfits so money i received from the csa was what i thought i was allowed when the new amount came out i checked with the csa and found she had not paid from 2003-2006 and that they had involved a debt agency. She had agreed with the debt agency that she would pay £25 a week off the debt. The csa now tell me they will not look at the 2006 - 2008 until she has finished paying off the arrears this will be 2010. And by that time she will owe arrears from 2006 -2010 and current. My circustances have now changed and im not on benefits and she is earning £300 a week and paying £25 for three children and she has the cheek to say to the children if your dad sent you over in better clothes i wouldn't mind paying more

I have read some threads and people have gone to their local MP has anybody had any luck?icon9.gif

I find it quite disgusting that they are giving her this extra time to pay off arrears and are allowing her to pay at such a low rate.......my OH has been given 2 yrs to pay his off and I know many other NRP's in the same position.

You fight this all the way!!

    Do keep us posted.

I am learning that MP's have a propensity to consider the CSA version of events as fact, have your ducks in a row.
The CSA is unjust, oppressive and discriminates men. If you tell me otherwise then 2 and 2 is 5, and you have a Ph.D in rendering bovine fecal matter.

Mine didn't, he was very sympathetic, although I may have helped by providing him with a log of everything that happened, along with copies of all correspondence.

By the way, people like me who are CSA veterans take the precaution of insisting on everything being put in writing. It takes longer but stops them trying their favourite trick of lying on the phone. They tend to think twice before committing their falsehoods to print (and it makes for a good evidence file for your MP, a lawyer or even a judge).

Just rang csa asked them to put in writing that they are unable to collect current csa payments they were trying to worm their way out of it saying it is the law that once it had been passed to the debt collection agency the whole case including current was on hold , i did point out that it was not the current that had gone to debt collection only the arrears to 2006 surely these should be classed as 2 separate issues, lets see what they are willing to put in writing.

I don't understand your post. Can you edit it please?

I understand the worm your way out bit ( usual for the CSA!),so just keep contacting your MP's assistant with updates. The assistant can also phone Parliamentary hotline to keep the CSA on their toes.

spoke to the csa they still have not completed her assessment due to a computer blip this has been going on for two weeks now, asked them to put in writing that they are unable to collect current which strangley enough they are reluctant to do. I wrote to the cheif exec today and i am hoping to hear from Mp soon and i have asked for all my details under freedom information act 2000 just to see exactly what has been done

They should be completing the assessment clerically. Are they doing this? Bear in mind it does take time if it's done clerically.
