The mother of my three children left 7/8years ago i was on benfits so money i received from the csa was what i thought i was allowed when the new amount came out i checked with the csa and found she had not paid from 2003-2006 and that they had involved a debt agency. She had agreed with the debt agency that she would pay £25 a week off the debt. The csa now tell me they will not look at the 2006 - 2008 until she has finished paying off the arrears this will be 2010. And by that time she will owe arrears from 2006 -2010 and current. My circustances have now changed and im not on benefits and she is earning £300 a week and paying £25 for three children and she has the cheek to say to the children if your dad sent you over in better clothes i wouldn't mind paying more
I have read some threads and people have gone to their local MP has anybody had any luck?

Go to your MP.
Were you in receipt of IS? If so, what years? Arrears are owed to the SoS. But I assume you are now in receipt of WTC/CTC and arrears are now directly to yourself when that claim began.
The CSA should be looking to collect arrears owed to yourself and then they should start collecting arrears owed to the SoS AFTERWARDS.0 -
I'm going to give it a whirl and see what happens il keep you posted0

if you check the calculator on the csa website this should give an indication of what she should be paying0

I checked the calculator and she should at least be paying £65 a week shes having a laugh0

Hi
My case was "lost" between the csa and the court (going for a liability order) and I didn't find out about it in spite of phone calls until a year later. Was always told it was being processed.
Got in touch with MP (pete wishart) and things started moving again. They have an MP hotline aparantly. Also received consolation payment of £10
hope that helps0 -

£10 or was it a typo error and it should be £100?
If £10, I would be insulted. Their "pot" must be running low with all the complaints they get over the years.
They do indeed have a hotline.0 -
i have recieved a letter today from her harping on about things being fair as the children are with us christmas eve then going to hers christmas day to boxing day night, the children are off on school holidays for two weeks and she has not asked to see them any other time. Its obvious the children don't fit in with her lifestyle

You need to escalate this. She should be paying the arrears to the state at the same time as paying you for current maintanace.0
