You need to take the copied software to trading standards. They will give you a note to send to paypal, and paypal will rule in your favour because Ebay can't be seen as promoting fakes.
That way you don't even need to send the stuff back !0 -
so how has it gone on so far?? has she learnt a lesson!!!TO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0

Like stingylolo says paypal aren't interested in the quality of the goods you received just the fact you've received them. I can't actually see where she's sent you counterfeit goods either considering she sent you a blank dvd and not illegal copied software so accusing her of sending counterfeit goods to paypal/ebay seems abit over the topWins: pink kids laptop

cause in her first email she told me she had sent a copy because she does not have the right to send the original (she has never explained this statement even though I have asked her twice, why?), it's only when I said counterfeit she chnage her story to blank DVD.
The DVD does not work so I have no way of knowing if it is blank or she screwed up when making a copy.0 -
If all else fails, sounds like she should be reported to FAST (http://www.fastiis.org/)0

You've already stated she sent a blank DVD and details of where to download , not gonna send you details of where to download if she'd already burnt it
She sent me the cable and a blank DVD with instructions on where to download the software from,
I'm not sticking up for her but all the accusations of counterfeit goods, reporting to trading standards/fast is going over the top just cos she's sent a blank dvd. You'll just have to see what paypal say and like many people I wouldn't put too much faith in themWins: pink kids laptop

speaking of her "30, posative 100% feedback" is she down to 96% yet?, I.e, did you neg. her?0

@Andy2342, sorry my first post was not clear and as it was posted after I'd already had several email exchanges with her.
She first sent me a DVD saying s/w is on it and if it does not work then, telecharge xxx from this site. It was later she chnaged her story to say blank DVD.
not neg'd yet I'm waiting for paypal outcome.
The item cost £6, postage was £6 again, if paypal say sent it back stuff it I'm not going to bother and lose out £6. Recently saw on another thread the real s/w pinnacle studio was reduced from 49.99 to 4.99 so have ordered that instead.0 -

Just because she charged you £6 for postage, it doesn't mean it actually cost that much. If she just sent a DVD and no books/box/manuals etc (which if it is a copied/blank DVD I'm assuming she didn't!) you should be able to send it back at Large Letter rate, plus Recorded Delivery, for a fraction of the £6 she charged you.
It certainly sounds like you've been had, but I guess you would have to weigh up whether it is worth just cutting your losses rather than paying to send it back. If you get the full £12 back (including her P&P charge) then great, but I don't know how PayPal normally deal with SNAD items and, assuming they rule in your favour(!) you may find you only get £6 back, so you'll still be out by £8-9 by the time you have posted it back to her (her original £6 charge, plus a more realistic cost of £2-3 for your return postage).
I'm sure she has a big fat neg coming her way, but I think you are sensible in waiting until PayPal have made their ruling.0
