This is eactly what I've been thinking!! Anyone got any ideas? Don't want to seem like a spoil sport but really don't have the money!

Can't you just say that? No shame in being frugal in these challenging times! Or if you're taking a car and therefore not drinking you could always say that you promised to pick up son/daughter/partner/friend from a night out etc.

    Hello everyone

    FRIDAY! YAY!

Coldplay were amazing last night - gig of the year, hands down. They kept setting up tiny stages all over the arena so even people in the cheap seats got to have a great view at some point during the show - I was 5 rows from the main stage :)

    Anyway, today:

    * Checked online banking - £7 to virtual sealed pot savings to round down to nearest £10
    * Get BF to transfer this month's rent/bills money early as he gets paid early and I need to get everything paid before Christmas
    * Go and buy the Coldplay "Prospekt March" EP from HMV using gift card (from Pigsback points - all Xmas shopping done so can treat myself :) ).
    * Chase Ebay purchases - two things not arrived yet. Christmas post though so maybe it'll be fine.
    * Research cheap Xmas food treats to make for when the girls come round on Monday
    * Check for PB points (nonw), Quidco payments (none), Lightspeed surveys (none) - very disappointing!
    * Pesto pasta salad from fridge, not sure what I'll have for tea as I don't know what we have in - maybe get half price pizza from Tesco - it is Friday after all!

Thanks for all the ideas for the last minute replacement gift for my friend, I'll have a look through present stash tonight to see what I have already.

    Have a good day everyone

    xx

I have the day off and have spent the first part cleaning my horse, go read my diary if you're wondering why or how the date went, disastrously , I think

The rest of the day is set aside for housework, paperwork and the food shop. I really know how to live:D

Will also try to unblock my online account and work out how much I've paid off the A&L for the £20k challenge. Will pop back between chores

Hi all, late for me today - up all night with yucky toothache... so much for all the painkillers - they didn't touch it :(:(

Only a little list for today, not feeling up to much:

    Check bank accounts
Deposit and withdraw money from Bingo site
    Surveys on 2 sites
Too sore to eat anything solid, so soup for lunch from storecupboard
No dinner tonight, out from half 2 til late so will take a sandwich with me
Teaching for 4 hours tonight for extra money/will save on fees
Will get lift to class to save on train fares
Pantomime tonight in same place as teaching, so will hang about in class for an extra hour to save paying to go home and back up again - lots of fares!
Will take some sweets with me/buy them in supermarket on way up to save paying ridiculous theatre prices for them

Thats all for just now, here's hoping I'll be feeling well enough to enjoy the Panto tonight!!

Have a lovely DFW day everyone!! :)

    :)

Try clove oil (you can get it from Boots). My dad recently had awful time with his teeth (had one out at hospital and it all went wrong!!) and they only thing he found that helped was clove oil. You'll stink, but it'll be worth it!;)

    Hope you feel better later.

Thanks so much Miss P - will stop and get it in Boots this afternoon! Is it quite expensive do you know?
I'm at my wits end - in agony and nothing seems to be working :( Roll on 27th Dec - it will be worth the £250 just to be able to eat solid foods again!! :p
