OH will be having two dinners, although he doesn't eat turkey so his will be chicken, beef and lamb! We're having lunch at my parents then going to his sister's mid-afternoon where he's asked her to plate him up a dinner (minus the veg!) to have then too, then back to my parents for xmas buffet tea! I think I might have to roll him to the car..
ETA: Night Sami! xx0 -
Nite nite, Pumpkin Sami!
And I'm going to see if me and bump can get a good night's sleep too!
Goodnight ladies.

I fell asleep in the bath.. I think that's taking "falling asleep anywhere" to the extreme!
Now that I'm awake again, I have a question.. When you go out to a pub for food whilst pregnant, what do you eat?
I'm going out for a few meals with friends in the run up to Christmas and I've been looking at menus online. I have gammon (with egg) or steak quite often when I go out and now it looks like that's my only option! I'm not that picky but I don't like cheeses (anything but cheddar gives me a funny tum when melted) or mushrooms.
One of the places has the following on the starter menu..
- Soup of the Day (hmm, might like it, might not)
- Whole Baked Camembert (cheese)
- Breaded Mushrooms (mushrooms)
- Prawn Cocktail (would love it but don't want the risk the freshness of the prawns)
- Crab Cakes (are we supposed to avoid crab as it's shellfish?)
- Tiger Prawn Gratin (prawns again)
- Chicken Caesar Skewers (if the dressing was out of a bottle, it would be okay but what pub is actually going to admit they don't make their sauces?!)
- Mushrooms, Stilton and Bacon on Focaccia (mushrooms and blue cheese)
- Chicken Liver Pate (I could KILL for pate right now!)

Morning girls
Hope everyone is ok, me and bump are good, it's getting so big now and I can feel him kicking loads from the outside.
Had some bad news last night, one of my old friends someone I've known since I was 5 died of a suspected meth/herion overdose, he was found yeaterday morning in bed
It's mad, my sister was best friends with his sister for years all throughout secondary school.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Good morning everyone! I'm thankfully feeling better this morning - nauseated - but not having the other uncomfortable issues - so hooray!
Astonsmummy - what awful news! Hope you and your sister are dealing with the news okay.
Elle - oops at falling asleep in the bath! I can see what you mean about eating out - looks like most of the stuff we can't eat! We used to go to our local pub in Devon - they always steamed a huge plate of veggies for me for really inexpensive when we popped in there for a meal. But in a formal holiday meal I don't know if you'd just have to look around and find one that has stuff you can eat. Or if there's a pub you go to that they know you, you might be able to ask them for something different.
We have a few little bits to pick up for Christmas still for friends/relatives - couple bottles of wine, small gifts for friends. Then the wrapping begins!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
oh AM thats not good esp at this time of year as it seems to hit people harder hope your ok xx
elle i would love the Mushrooms, Stilton and Bacon on Focaccia (mushrooms and blue cheese) but i know its a bit no no but how good does it sound:D i would prob stick to the soup or chicken without dressing? im the same when going out tend to have steak or gammon oh and lots of onion rings:D
well after my mamoth clearout yest my house is looking bare, have a mountin of ebay stuff to be posted and wrapped! going to put a pot of soup of in a min for lunch and might do some baking today keeping everyone happy! think i also might do what i done yest and stay in my pjs all day then once finished jump in bath and clean pjs on again lol! why are they so comfy when your pregnant???What's for you won't go past you0 -
ooh Elle that menu is a bit rubbish! at home I don't bother about eggs but in catering they sometimes use spanish eggs which are definitely more dengerous than my laid in lancashire free rangers! I think I'd just cross my fingers that the soup was something nice n not mulagutawny or broc n stilton - bleugh!
When I was expecting last time we went to a steak grill place but I asked them to check the cheese was pasturised and it was so I had goats cheese n beetroot starter and chicken for main but coz it was a grill place the chicken was basically burnt on the outside  but they did have the most gorgeous churros for dessert so I filled up on them! this time i went for a Teppanyaki but as it was all cooked in front of me I wasn't bothered about it and had some scallops (it was also a posh place with the in-laws so I figure the prices they were charging it had better be damn fresh!)0 -
I'm ok, just a bit shocked.
Just a question for all you wokrers, at how many weeks are you going on maternity leave?:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0
