As you haven't bothered reading the first post of this Armed Forces board, written by the Big Cheese himself ... Mr Martin Lewis, I will copy it here for you :
Hi
After a number of requests I decided it was time to open up an armed forces MoneySaving board for current and past members of the forces and their families.
The aim isn't to duplicate the rest of the forum and site, but far more to discuss those issues that are specific to members of the forces. Whether it be getting goods delivered overseas, the difficulty of getting life coverage, what's available when leaving the forces, specific discounts and how to get back to civilian life... I'm sure there are many more.
I hope it will help
All the best
Martin
Yes ... for current and past members of the forces and their families. Therefore I don't feel the need to explain any abbreviations, as, I imagine do others on here. Its assumed that we all know their meaning; as I said previously, its everyday language.
I have no objections to other people reading the forces board, in fact I would positively encourage it; anything to raise the profile of the forces is beneficial, in my opinion.
If I don't understand something, I make an effort to find out, its called broadening ones knowledge. If my children don't know what a word means, I encourage them to look it up in a dictionary. If you don't know what something means .... ask .... or look it up. Don't expect to be spoon fed !!

I';ve been twice. Never bothered telling anyone/paperwork. To think an overworked JNCO is really that concerned about someone's 2 weeks in Varadero. If you were invited over that would be different I suspect but just go with the flow and pled ignorance.0

Very bad idea to ignore the security regs that tell military and MOD civilians to report where they will be travelling to - it's for your own awareness of the security state in that particular country that may affect you and your family.
You receive a brief relevant to that country at that time - personally I'd rather know!0 -
Went to Cuba (in the TA). Someone said I'd need permission to go. Spoke to my unit. They said that as long as I didn't take my army ID card with me, it wasn't a problem0
