Aah, that made me laugh! :rotfl::rotfl:
I have found that I have dropped a couple of pounds since starting my spending diary and the NSD challenges as I don't want to ruin a NSD for the sake of a bar of 50p chocolate!
That being said, it's coming up to Christmas and there will be chocolate everywhere, maybe I'll get some in my stocking this year0 -
Hey intergalactic...
Sounds like you're getting there! Definitely have to look into the Magazine thing - maybe you can share with people at work? If you have a large office, what about setting up a magazine club?? See if anyone's interested? After all, once you've read them - they just get recycled??
Well done on the night out - you did fab that evening!!!

Day 6
Another two bills paid today.
irst Additions statement came today. I owe £175.18 and had budgeted £60 per month and they have asked for £58.40 so will pay that and transfer the other £1.40 to the MBNA payment.
Then my HSBC credit card payment of £5 was taken. I can't understand why they have only taken £5 when the balance is nearly £1000, but the other £25 that I had budgeted will also go towards the MBNA credit card payment.
So, grand total for MBNA on top of the minimum payment so far is £32.08
Spends today:
£1.50 - breakfast club for youngest DS.
£1.00 towards bonus ball (that I haven't won AGAIN)
I've also got my first pinecone survey since I signed up with them again.Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -

You should maybe check with HSBC first as it might be that you have had a fixed direct debit. Most credit cards would ask for a minimum payment of 2% - 5% or £5 depending on what amount was higher, so you should be paying at least £20 by my workings (Bear in mind though, if I was better at maths I probably wouldn't need this board:rotfl:)
You don't want to have underpaid and find out that you have a charge.
Well done on your payments for today :j:T0 -
Day 7
£1.30 - Cheese on toast for breakfast (now I can see where all my money is going!).
£9.90 - Xmas present for eldest DS for PSP (PES 08 from Argos - reserved it through Quidco so got £1 cashback)
£10.30
I had a letter in the post from Post Office credit card! I applied for one a few days ago but they couldn't give me a decision at that time, but a PIN number has come in the post for me! (no card yet though so I don't know the credit limit and as I applied for it in my own name, I guess the credit limit might not be high enough to make much of an in-road into the MBNA card so I can't make any decisions about what to do with it). I also went through Quidco, it wasnt showing as any money for a credit card but I thought I would try it anyway...it's tracked at Zero...it's 0% for 12 months so must be one of the only few left out there. I'll be back for advice when I know my credit limit.Start Date: 27/11/2010

Hi IF
Your doing really well.
Excellent news about the Post Office card hopefully you will be able to shift quite a bit of MBNA to it.
Take care miemie0 -
Morning Floozie - Just a quick note to say many congrats on the new PO card - lets hope the credit limit is good!!! Do you know what % they charge for balance transfers?
Have a great day!!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Right - Post Office card came today.
Here are the details:
Credit Limit £2100
Introductory rate: Balance Transfers @ 0% for 12 months.
Balance Transfer fee = 2.98%
Standard APR = 18.32% for purchases/balance transfers.
Minimum payment = 2.5% of balance.
So, just to recap: Credit Cards
£954 to HSBC @ 14.9%
£2700 (ish) to Tesco @ ? (statement says 1.313% per month, but x 12 = 15.7%, which seems a funny amount)
£2500 (ish) to Tesco - probably as above.
£9700 (ish) to MBNA - no idea what the interest rate it, and I am not sure when the statement is due in.
I'm wondering whether I am better putting it towards the lowest Tesco card even though the interest is lower than MBNA?Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
Hi Floozie - good news on the PO card.
Do you know what you are paying toward each card each month and can the PO tell you a rough idea of your repayments when you have BT onto it?
Also - when I recently BT onto my Abbey card, I could only transfer up to 90% (or it may have been) 95% of my limit. If this applies to you, you may only be able to transfer up to (approx of course) £1995.start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0
