Well done on the overtime and the other bits and pieces you have been doing!
I got another 5 hours overtime last week, but it's rare at my work at the moment!0 -

YES!!!
But you are not alone!! And it won't be forever!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
19 days to get through until next pay day...£295.87 remaining in everyday money, and shouldn't need to take anything out today.
Yeeeee! Ebay sales are now up to £12 on the two moisturiser/toner products, with a few watchers on them too!!! I wish I had other stuff to sell like that!Start Date: 27/11/2010

18 days to get through til next pay day £286.73 to last (music downloads bought last night).
Ebay sales are now up to £15 on the two products and my jeans now have three watchers, hopefully at least one of them will swoop on Sunday just before the listing ends.
My youngest son who is a football fanatic has been looking forward to the Champions League Final for ages, and today - totally out of the blue - he looked all profound and said "I think it will be 2-2" so I have stuck a quid on for him at the bookies. (well, obviously it will be mine if it wins lol).Start Date: 27/11/2010

17 days to get through til next pay day - £254.72 to last.
Well, the little fella was right about Barcelona scoring 2 goals wasn't he - just a shame Manurenighted couldn't do the same and thus won me some dosh!
GRRRRR - DH's Tesco CC came today and even though it was paid off in full last month, there's still interest to pay on this statement. I've paid it today £11.96, and have used the everyday money rather than the emergency money and I'm going to see if I can get to pay day without having to dip into the emergency money.
He also got paid today from his new employer (hooray!) but I think it must have been a salary advance rather than a proper wage because it was exactly two weeks worth of money without any tax or insurance taken off! I've transferred it to the emergency money account as it was unexpected money, and as he's spending a lot of time twiddling his thumbs at work, I'm terrified they'll turn around and say they've made a terrible mistake in employing him so are having to let him go (£1872 in emergency money now with three weeks wages to come from old employer at the end of June). I'm mentally buying a holiday or an L-Shaped leather sofa, someone stop me! It's burning a hole in my bank account.
E-Bay sales up to £16 now since yesterday, I can't see it getting much higher to be honest but it will make my paypal account even more healthy.
Got a flyer through the door today with £2.50 off a £25 farmfoods spend and £5 off a £50 spend, so I will save that as my freezer is nearly empty and I can stock up on meat and freezer stuff.
I decided I was going to go and have a look at jeans in Tesco and buy myself some if there was any I liked. My size 16s are way too baggy now and I'm sick of looking saggy @arsed, however the size 14s were tighter than I was happy with so I'll stick with the 16s for now. At least I'll feel thin if my jeans are too big hah hah. The old me would have just bought them for the sake of buying them "to slim into". Now I'm not going to buy them until I can fit into them.
Haven't had a pinecone survey for aaaaages! Surely someone must want my opinions!Start Date: 27/11/2010

16 Days to get through til next pay day. £254.72 to last. I'm down to £1.50 in my purse so I will probably need to get some cash out, and DH needs petrol tomorrow, however, I have to say, I've probably got more money left than I would normally have at this time of month even having had less money come in! (when you count how much was everyday money and the rest went into emergency)
Checked e-bay - I was wrong, am up to £17 in sales now (P+P included in total). Still no bids on the jeans, but still three watchers and 2 days left to go. The toner has gone for silly money though as its RRP is £12, yet it's bid up to £9 inc P+P, and it's also been used so it's not as if it's brand new.
Quidco payment is still showing as scheduled £21.22 to come.
Had a letter from A&L thanking us for our custom and confirming the loan is paid off - Ahhh that felt good. Also received Additions statement showing balance was still zero.
I think I should write and close all lines of credit now as I have totted up how much available credit we have between us at this very minute and it's blooming scary!!!
1. HSBC overdraft £1457
2. Natwest Overdraft £1800
3. Tesco CC (me) £2750
4. Tesco CC (DH) £2500
5. Capital 1 CC (DH) £3000
6. Post Office CC (me) £2200
7. Natwest CC: £2200
8. RBS CC: £4500
9. HSBC CC: £1000
10. MBNA CC: £12300
11. Additions Catalogue: £1000
That's over £34700! My God, how scary when I think about it now I no longer have any CC debt. (not trying to rub anyones face in this, by the way, as I am still in debt, just to bank of mum & dad).
Anyway, today is a beautiful day so I am going to have a quick clean and tidy round, then sit outside with a book!Start Date: 27/11/2010

Back again! I finally got hold of the tax credits helpline today. She told me to keep the money they had paid me (yee-haw) and they're going to re-do my award and as I haven't had the £540(whatever) per year yet, I'll still be entitled to a small amount per week until next April. So, transferred the £291 over to my emergency fund, which is now £2163.
Also found some expensive, barely used handcream, so I will list that on e-bay this Sunday when my other auctions end.
I'm mentally buying a laptop at the moment!Start Date: 27/11/2010

15 Days to get through til next pay day. £224.88 to last until then (plus £10 in my purse).
E-bay bids now up to £17.50 with a day and half to go (still no bids on the jeans). 7 watchers on the moisturisers yet only two bidders have been bidding (so hopefully it might go for more than the £8 on it already).
Quidco is still showing as 'pending'
TV Licence has gone up 6p! I didn't get notice of this but now I come to think of it, my licence renewal date is June.
DH conned me out of £8 yesterday LOL. His new work were planning a night out last night after work, so as I wanted him to be part of it but knew he wouldn't have enough money I offered to give him £25 for his night out. Anyway a bit later he rang me and said he really did not want to go out, but as I had offered him £25, would I pay for a case of wine for him instead, which would save me £17, so I said okay. It was only after I bought him the wine he broke down and confessed the night out had been cancelled LOL!!!!
Anyway the wine costs £2.29 per bottle in the shop (he's not a wine connoiseur as you can tell). My friend works in a cash & carry so I paid £8.95 + 15% VAT less 10% discount so got 6 bottles for £9.27 saving him £4.47.
I also got 24 cans of pepsi max for just over £4.50. I drink a lot of it when I am dieting because it stops me from feeling hungry.
Am also gonna de-clutter my house and give myself a year to rid myself of the C(cant) H (have) A (anyone) O (over) S syndrome.
Anyway, sun is shining again today so I'm off to do a quick tidy and enjoy the rest of the day.Start Date: 27/11/2010

14 days to get through until next pay day. £151.18 to last plus £13 in my purse so that was quite a big reduction of every day money since the previous day *hyperventilates*
£40 went on petrol
£8.81 on some 3/4 length trousers for DS1
£4.43 on some boxers (DH) and socks (DS1)
£5.98 breakfast at McDonalds for DS1 and me (feel awful now)
£5.86 getting 2 x X-Box 360 games buffered as they were unplayable, and are the boys favourite games
I still reckon if I stick to £7 per day groceries, and neither of us should need petrol that I should still be left with £60 "other" money so I think I have done well this month.
I did give myself the green light to buy some of those linen-like trousers in Primark, which were only about £7, but I couldn't bring myself to do it!
BLIMEY! Have just looked at e-bay to do my daily updates on here and someone has bid for the jeans!!! It's only 99p but at least they will be gone by the end of the day....ohhhhhhhh I've just looked at the buyer's name PMSL - It's someone on MSE (thank you very much) so that's over £27 in bids!
Top Tip: Confused.com on Quidco are giving £1 for home insurance quotes and £3 for car insurance quotes. I did the home insurance last night even though I have already signed up with Quidco and it's showing as tracked, and that I can save £5 per month!!! My insurance expires some time in July so I will leave it for the time being though. AND - guess what....for the first time in my life I will have enough money to pay for the whole premium in one lump sum and not get hammered with 23% interest for paying monthly!
I came in £32.66 under budget for May's grocery challenge so I am pleased with that. £7 per day seems like a sensible figure that I can stick to. No one has been moaning about what we are eating and I haven't noticed a change in quality and I am certainly not throwing as much food away.
Clutterbusting yesterday:
1. Hoovered all behind the sofas - it was disgusting but I found DS1's mobile phone that had dropped behind the radiator. It's been missing for months and I was beginning to think someone had walked into the house and stolen it.
2. 1 shelf of deep 6-shelf bookshelf decluttered. The bottom shelf contained three boxes full of slimming magazines. I fully expect to get slim by reading these magazines but haven't so far so thought I might as well chuck them. They've all gone in the paper recycling and date back to 2005!
3. Emptied a plastic crate full of CDs that was sitting on a side table, into the boxes that the magazines had vacated. Side table is now clear of clutter.
