A little feedback, thanks again to all who helped.

Bahia Principe in Tenerife was excellent. We were lucky and missed nearly all the bad weather that the Canaries have had over the last few weeks.

Wintersunholidays direct for the hotel booking was fine. They even gave us details of their local agent if there was any problems with the room etc, but everything was fine. It made me smile every day to know I was paying less than the first choice clients :p

The car hire from autosreisen was good. The car was a 5 door focus 1.6 diesel with air etc, nearly new 2000 Kms on the clock. The extra bonus was the hire place was in the baggage hall, so I'd already signed and got the keys by the time our luggage appeared on the carousel.

The (discounted) flights with XL.com were good. both flights on time. No queues at Manchester (T2) , but about 45 minutes to queue to check in at TFS. Plane was a fresh looking 767-200 with leather seats and tidy interior. Glad we didn't go for the food option as I'd have expected something a little better than "bangers and mash". Leg room was adequate for a 6' person.

Premier parking at Manchester was great. Very professional. 2 minutes wait for a bus outbound, 1 minute on the way back. It was about a 3-4 minute ride to T2 (via the other terminals)

The (new) travelodge at Manchester airport was a good bargain. £26 (plus normally £5 to park, but they let us out for free). It's only just been built, is smart and very secure. Nice bar/family resturant in the same building. 2 minutes drive to the airport.

No more package holidays for me.
