First Choice - Price rise / discounts?

I Checked out a holiday on the Firstchoice website yesterday (a week in the canaries in 4 weeks time) and went to book it today and the price has gone up by £100pp. Very annoying.
I'd have expected prices to fall, not rise with only 4 weeks to go.
Anyone know where I can get a discounted deal from first choice? I've tried eclipse direct, same price.

Lorian...whats the hotel ? where can you fly from and what price is it?
Prices usualy rise around the 4-5 week mark then they often drop again at weekends around the 2nd week (if they havnt sold out)
They all woek on the same fluid prices the more people that book your hotel/Apartments the higher the price goes.
Its best to check to see if it can be done seperatlyIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -

I've been keeping an eye on the First Choice site as well. We want to book a summer holiday to the same place as last year in Crete. Last year the prices online were like a yo-yo, this year they are static.
I am hoping the price comes down as we paid £900 last year and this year looking around £1500 just for a week0 -

Got the flight down a bit
That's booking through your company? (apologies for not knowing who you work for, I'm new in the holidays section  )
Ticket on departure is like electronic ticketing I'm used to on BA?
Any food or reserved seats onthe flights?
I must say I'm a little nervous of Excel airways as I've seen a few bad reports of long checking queues and delays? Better to pay extra for the First Choice flights?
Are http://beach.es a reputable company to book the accomodation from - I've not seen them before?0 -
me and sloppychops dont work for a travel agencies (although we should
)
Just like to hunt down bargains and save people money on the jolllies
Beach is good and they have some good deals I booked with them for G/C and saved about 400 but alwasy use your credit card to pay even if it costs you a couple of quid.
Before you go ahead with the car check the Avis site with these codes D005297 D005291 A153700 in the AWD box or if you search for the Avis thread and they dont work there will be a code on there that does.
Also the https://www.XL.com requires DIVERS in the promo box to get that price.

Thanks for all the help, so close and yet so far:
Looks like beach.es just put up their prices too, as a search on beach.es shows the accomodation up to £ 918.420
