Ford Warranty / Roadside Assistance

Hi,

Just recived my AA membership renewal notice. £45 for Roadside + Complementary Homestart.

However, having also just changed cars, I notice the Ford warranty for new car has an "RAC 24 hour Roadside Assistance" included, which still has 18 months to run.

I do not want to pay twice for the same cover, so I intend to cancel the AA one.. not worried that AA covers me driving any vehicle, whereas the Ford/RAC one covers only the one vehicle.

Can anyone comment on whether the cover I will get from the Ford/RAC policy will compare well to the AA one?

Thanks.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. • Ref Martin's cheapest roadside assistance article, I just called Auto Aid to join and she charged me £32 not £29. She said that Martin had been informed about the price change (but it seems the message hasn't got through....)
  • Thanks. What I wanted to know though was; Do any of you have experience of the Ford Warranty variety of RAC Roadside Assistance? How does it compare to the "regular" RAC or AA membership? No point in reniewing my AA membership if this "freebie" will do the job!!

    Thank you.
