Hiya - I've been doing this for quite a while now, on my various spreadsheets I refer to it as "Piggybank Friday", since it feels like I'm putting the "loose change" into a separate piggybank!
You've just inspired me to see how much I've saved this year just from transferring those odd pounds and pence, and my total so far for 2008 is £186.02 :T Much more than I was expecting, it's amazing how those little amounts all add up!

This is a great idea. I started doing this with my mortgage account, when I check my online current account I transfer the odds into my mortgage, it is tiny amounts at the minute but next year I really hope to start making overpayments of £100.00 per month.0
