However some were actually complaining to the staff that it wasn't good enough, and they expected better bargains and more off.
Oh the sensitivity of the great British public...
It's a breach of my rights, innit?--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -
Well that's the Windup of Woolies (ed. shurely Wonder?).0

I presume if it is not sold as a going concerne the administrators would look to sell the brands off.0 -
My OH works at Laura Ashley. So, the answer to WHY? is because it provides jobs as well as good quality furniture and clothing."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

but the reductions were poo
And so was the stock.0 -
Some of the 'discounted' prices are no bargain. My local Woolworths had Toblerone 400g at £3.87 less 10% = £3.48; Sainsburys next door had the same product at £3.27.
Why expect fantastic bargains on day one? There are staff to be paid.0 -
lol
I was in Woolies too today. I had a £15 giftcard that I had to spend (before it becomes worthless).
I walked round that store for about 20 minutes and couldn't find one thing that I wanted to buy - even with their amazing reductions. It was all either completely overpriced or complete junk.
No wonder they've gone under.
My kids have done that for the last couple of years with their giftcards.0
