you can use service like topupdiscount (or topupnow /teletop). You top up by texting something like 'call on' to a premium number (costs £5.00). Suggest you cancel by texting 'call stop' or something similar straightway otherwise it keeps topping it up automatically. The rates are quite cheap.

please DO NOT USE teletop - or whatever its called for China / HK / etc

constant problem - 1) "your call is being connected , 1sec later , there is no answer !!"

    2) you dial your no, then it will just ring and ring and ring ....then " there is no answer on the no. you've dialed!!!" i know its not true

    3) dont be conned about the ZERO p / min , sometimes its 0 , sometimes its 1 or 2 ...whatever - doesnt work !!!!

repeat of the 2 above 95% ++++ of the time , i gave up !

anyway, i have in the past USED them even without - yes , didnt pay them the £5 !!!! and still made the call but when you get the problems above then why bother !!! stay away i say ......---no 0161700300 if you wanna try !!! btw i have emailed them for help - guess what ,,yes no reply what so ever .....

    Globalcell, IDT, Lyca - Orange

    Lebara, Talkmobile (CPW) - Vodafone

Mobile World (CPW), Nomi - T-mobile

also see cheap options on all the main networks, such as Orange's Camel tariff

Orange Camel in fact works out more expensive for some foreign mobile destinations thus not justiifable.

Are you sure Nomi is T-mobile, on its website to check your number the code is the same as for Vodafone!

MVNs route their intl calls via a diff network, don't they?

Better still for some destinations you could open an account with http://www.localphone.com/ who will allocate you local UK Geographical Numbers that point direct at your final destination numbers (no callthrough) and they dont charge any connection charge.

    Pakistan only 5.2 p a minute .

Are you using them -if so what are your views on it; I might be tempted to try this ..........
