Just hunting for the thread you recommended and found this. You are doing so well you should be so proud of yourself. Loads of carp stuff thrown your way and still really postive and really helpful to others include me on here.
Hope everything goes to plan and you hit your DFD target.

Please be gentle with me!!
Total Incomings - £848
Outgoings
£225 - debt repayment done on snowball
£40 - Overdraft
£30 - Sky - (tied into £30 contract to Mar, then can reduce to £21.00 per month)
£15.00 - Life Ins
£50.00 - Car - Petrol, + insurance
£15.00 - Mobile Phone
£50.00 - Internet and Phone - cant do anything as the line rental with bt, tied in with a laptop package - Jan 2010
£15 - Clothes budget me
£30 - DD (pocket money, ballet, tap, swimming lessons, try to pay those out of cashback when I do - chuck the extra of debts)
£40.00 - Replace money borrowed from dads saving account
£80.00 - Pay household bills
£40.00 - me
£200.00 Rent
£15.00 haircuts
£20.00 holidays
£15.00 dd clothes budget
Total outgoings - £870 pm - Short £22.00 pm
I know the 1st thing that would be suggested is get rid of sky, but to be honest on average I'm lucky if I go out once every couple of months.
The telephone etc, the BT part is in my fathers name and he wont change, so I pay that and the Internet, Im tied in with the internet deal for another 12 months as I took a laptop deal.
I've estimated an average of £50 pm month for the car, as that will cover petrol, ins, and recovery.
DD - she does Ballet, Tap and now swimming lessons, where possible, (touch wood so far have paid about half for them from mutual points and one poll, but when she outgrew her ballet gear, that was leotard, skirt, tap shoes and ballet shoes £60.00 - but she shouldnt suffer because I have debt, its not her fault, its all mine for all the stupid mistakes, I have made, although I guess if you look back on statements a lot of it is the interest that has been added on.
Appologies for the long thread x

Is the £225 the minimum? Also cant spot grocery costs. I agree with sky we rely on it for entainment too. Far cheaper in the long run. Do you do a spending diary? Its amazing how much you think you spend and the reality. Im going to reactivate mine when Im brave enough to do an updated SOA. I cant see much room for manover except being extra frugal with the haircut and clothes budgets.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -
Hi Keeping Positive, thank you, I'm starting a spending diary in Jan, so that will keep track of every penny and hopefully squueze some more for debts.
The £200 I classed as rent is money that goes to parents, covers keep, they get all the groceries, so at least thats one thing off the expenditure plate!
The haircuts try to keep to a minimum, mum and I take it in turn paying, if we use our lical hairdresser (very basic, blue rinse hairdresser!), for mum, me + dd is £35.00, if we have a day trip to Rhyl or up there on hol we use a hairdresser £12 for the 3 of us!
What I intend to do with car, haircut, dd clothes, me clothes, is put the money up each month, then if (she hopes!!!) there is any money left chuck that at the debts.
Glad you found the other thread, there a nice bunch there. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
