  • Hi Mum

Firstly Hi! :hello:Welcome to the what seems to be friendlier boards in your experience... and sorry to hear you felt bashed on the other one.. I've only been on here so can't comment. Sorry to hear of the knockbacks too which have affected your other LBM's.

Secondly I would like to say WELL DONE on walking out of an abusive and violent relationship. There are a lot of people that don't and at 7 mths that must have been extremely hard. But you did what was right for you and your child. I really admire you, you are a strong person.

I'm no expert - new here myself and everyone has been so lovely. I completely understand on the SOA. I was the same. You may have that day when you feel strength and feel like posting it. I did after a few weeks. Got some advice, then edited it, and removed it from my diary. People had given me great advice, but I didn't want my details available for all forever (bit rambling - sorry - just saying I get where you're coming from).

This place is great - and it seems like you are doing really well already!! Keeping a diary on here and a spend one has personally made me feel I have to answer to someone (even if its just me!)

Keep it up - be lovely to hear how you are doing and also to offer support if you have a not so good day!

    Hi mum

Just wanted to say you are doing so well. Keep it up.

Been reading your "bottom bit" (I know that's not right - but can't think of what it's called.... "avatar"...? or something...?..sorry!!!) and reaching 40 is not that bad...honest!! I reached it 3 years ago. Ok, it does make you a bit forgetful and a bit mad but apart from that...

I'm forgetful as it is now!! They say life begins at 40, so may find a nice man! x

    Hi mum2one

it's not just the girls who have the money troubles, us blokes ain't too clever either.

Sorry to here about your experiences to date, but everyone here will keep you motivated, you only have to ask.

One tip though. Life doesn't begin at 40, it begins when YOU want it to, so be positive and you might have that day out in London sooner than you think!

    Good luck
