The new pup sounds lovely.
It also sounds lovely what you are doing with Whisky0 -
Tail docking isn't illegal. It is very restricted though and can only be performed on certain breeds by a vet within a few days of birth. A dog with an infected tail that later has to be removed is far more torturous to the dog. There are always two sides to every argument. Whilst I agree that tail docking is not necessary for a pet it is most definately required for certain breeds of working dogs. No puppy breeder knows at the point of birth where a pup will end up or what it will end up doing.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Good day here, took dd to a local dog show at the rehomeing kennels, meant to be a display of Prison dogs, but it was postponed......... as they had been called into the prison!!
Bailey now has a new purple collar and matching lead, and thedoogie harness with matching lead in purple again! He's being spolit b4 he comes home. Its helping DD cope so thats the best we can do.
So funny last night, the lady from nxt dr came round - shes doing the race for life - we sponsered her, and we were chatting about the house, hers in identical, but before they moved in the !!!!! (who got evicted), blocked up the door from the kitchen to dining room, she came and had a lot at ours, and dd pipes up "would you like to come and meet puddles, shes a cat whos adopted us", we all burst out laughing as Puddles as we call her is nxt drs cat, apparently she goes there for her food, and ignores them the rest of the day...... shes usually curled up under the perspex in the day.
So funny earlier, dad got one of Whiskys cushions to use on the wooden bench, (needs gd clean down), came into the kitchen to get the paper, and puddles had got herself comfy..... Shes nxt dr 4 breakfast, bowl of water outside for her here and shes made herself at home in the laundry basket, where she goes at night is another mystery.
Paid some money of my bills, gone halves with the AA for dad- that was without him waiting months for it.
The loan starts coming out next month, but everything is all budgeted for,and I can have a life......... not a riot, but wont be down to the last £1.
Listed 30 things on ebay, (thurs + 2day), that was only 56p, in costs, do all my running around tomorrow, go and get Whiskys ashes, not looking forward to it, but will be glad to get home.
Then study for the rest of the week, considering a month ago or so I was 5 weeks behind, now I'm on the right week, and the next 2 weeks, aim(she says with abaited breath), the plan is to get 2 weeks in advance.

May sound morbid, but we got Whiskys ashes back yesterday, had a few tears, but it may sound daft it feels like hes back at home and I feel as though a weight has been lifted off our shoulder.
Ouyr vets were so lovely, when we had the choice of how we wanted the ashes, wooden box with his name, a urn or in a cardboard box, so we choose the cardboard box as were going to spread his ashes seemed silly to pay extra for items that we wouldn't of used.
Picked up the box yesterday, opened it, half expecting to see a smaller carboard box, but bless them they had put the ashes in the urn, little note from the vets - sorry for your loss - so putting 2 + 2 together they footed the difference in the billing.
It was £150.00 for the ashes in cardbaord box, and they charges us £70 for Whisky.
So at the moment, hes in the dining room, as we said we'd sprinkle as near as we can in one go.
Just so glad that he had pinky - (pink pig - his favourite toy), with him,
Bailey is already registered with the vets, busy getting everything ready for him, doing him some crocheted blankets, start off with he'll sleep in a cardboard box, with plently of blankets then when he comes back after his holiday (go back to the breeder for a week, he's got a fur lined basket.
Puddles is still getting comfy, everytime any of us open the fridge door shes there like a shot. We just allow her to come in at morning for breakfast then shes goes back outside, wouldnt be fair for her to have the run of the house then get bombarded by Bailey.

Good news, we had dds school report, it was amazing, shes excelled in everything, apparently in Sept her reading age was 4yr 6mths, now its 7yrs 11mths, not 7 till Sept, every part of her report she was gd at, apparently shes very good with the mouse, and when she uses the laptop she doesnt have the mouse she uses the touch bit, and shes the only who does.
Apparently shes a serious child, (with whats shes been throu and she was brought up with adults, didnt mix much with children to nursery), but so helpful, and so polite!!
This is the child who last ngt got in a mood - slammed the door - then reopened it and said " I dont give a shi*e"
Best bit -the headmasters comment, he complimented her on everything - bet it was through gritted teeth!! xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
