Some gd news at last, went for parenst evening and apparently dd is the sweetest most polite child in the class, a pleasure to teach (have they got the right child!!), shes way above avarage in all her subjects, a whizz kid in the making on the computer. The grades were w=working towards, A3 - bais pass, A2, good, A1 excellent, the lowest she scored was A2, most were A1, apparently shes even top of the class with maths. I'm so plzed 4 her, but its going to cost me a present!! x

Had a little bit og gd news on money front, just got my student grant for the yr £255, so £175 off my glasses (owe dad), in theory should pay the money off debts, but I've put it up to buy anything I need for OU, pretty well stocked up so whats left in Oct, will get chucked at debts then.

Dad has another smile on his face (2 things that do that whisky + money), as hes classed as my carer for ou purposes, he drives me to tutorials, bag carrier etc, the other courses been nr home or Telford, but this one is Wolverhampton (35 miles each way), inc petrol expenses hes getting pd £50 a time to look after me!! He was a bit disappointed that there is only 5 tutorials........... At least it saves me haveing to put petrol in the car!! x

  • He sounds lovely mum2one. Good news on the money front too.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

    Hey hon,

sorry havent been in for a while :o & that your shed was broken into  , & although good that nothing was taken it's almost more disturbing.

Hope the tutorial went well today & your dad had fun with the sat nav :D . I've decided that if I end up losing my job then I'll probably go back to studying... I might just have a degree by the time I'm 60 :rotfl: . It just makes your heart swell when teachers praise your children :) mine had a good report last year so I paid for her to be a member of clubpenguin for the year, it's certainly kept her motivated as she's determined to get another year's membership come july:eek:  .

take care of you both :D
