Got a cartridge world 5 mins away, never thought of that, have to price up the refill with them.
Gd news from GP - apart from the kidney infection all my bloods ok, and thank god the antibiotcs worked, otherwise I was thinking of getting the tv moved to the small rm!!
So exicted about the holiday, I think its what we need, do me and dd gd to be just the 2 of us. Be a gd while b4 we get another hol abroad, so intend to make the best of it and it feels so good to have 1 thing done on my list.
Thou dd has started her list for abroad, Cyprus so she can then go to Egypt for the pyramids, and Mexico to swim with dolphins and Dom Rep, to see the sealions. She wants to go to the places I've been to.
Paid 2 credit cards so far off my snowball, getting organised slowly.
Taking dd and her friend to pics sat am, (£1.00 showing), the MacD 4 lunch (got £4.00 luncheon voucher), so dinner for them should be 50p, shes been round to her friends house and played on wii, so I said I'll take them to the pics.
Got to get my head down next week for 1st week of studying, was going to start fri, but haveing the electric meter changed.......that be fun and games.
Thats me updated for now, its great haveing this thread, can get a lot of my chest and feel better for it. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hello!
It's me! I have only just spotted this thread and can't believe I haven't seen it before. Your posts entertain me so much on Thrifty Gifty gals
Good luck with your 40 in 40. I am having loads of fun on my 101 in 1001! (especially watching all these lovely films)
I'd just like to say to anyone reading mum2ones thread that we have been 'chatting' for at least a year now and through that time she has always been absolutely upbeat and positive and encouraging on these threads, and one thing that has always stuck out to me is that mum2ones daughter has the most doting, devoted mum anyone could ask for - she absolutely loves her little girl to pieces and does everything for her. I'm sure most parents do that anyway, but you can always feel the love and devotion from mum2one.
On that note, you really deserve to be happy, and I hope everything goes your way with your health, 40 in 40, and pennies - you never know you might get all your debts paid by your 40th!! You will have to do some eBaying with us luv
Good luck with it all, I look forward to your updates! XX

I couldnt of done this thread without the help, advice and support of a few special people, Jamtart, PinkLadymel, who both keep me on the straight and narrow on the thrify thread, keeping positive + mrs taxi (taxi73?), for being such lovely and supportive ladies, and lula-hula, for the support and the £100 clothing challenge, Buffythedebtslayer, for support with paying back debts and dreamerhelen for the 5k challenge.
Everyone on here as been so supportive, so a big thank you as well.
Quiet here today, had my "lone parent interview" this morning, nothing productive, although she told me to consider looking into the employment + training benefit, in other words go on the sick.........as I would prove difficult for some employers. Guess its health and safety, i might trip over!!
Had a little chat with dd about money this morning, bit weird, but said that as were going away, that we can only do 1 main film a month, or 2 if we go on a wed (orange 2 4 1), sods law she wants to see Dogs Hotel, and its only on at the weekend, she was great about it, and even offered to pay for me to go with her.........how I held the tears back, bless her she has such a heart of gold, thou like any child she does have her moments.
So funny last ngt, as dad went upstairs to watch the football, she went up with him, she took her tin of sweets and a cup a soup, I went up at 9, and she in bed fast asleep, and dad was curled up with unicorn!!
Swimming tonight for dd, all fun + games xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Not happy bunny as checked alliance + leicester account, opened it originally under the Quidco cash back deal, downgraded the account as I wasnt funding it with £500 pm, only to find that they charged me £5.00 for not funding the in the month I cancelled, taking me OD by £1.00, then added £45 charge............so could be a fun monday, got optician am, so bank afternoon, what a cheek.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
