Well as your q hasn't been answered today I will reply just to bump the thread up the list. Hopefully you will get a reply from someone this evening.

You could try sending a pm to one or two of the posters from 2008, asking if they ever got sent any more?

I had the following email from their customer services. It seems that they did put the details on their Terms and Conditions, but obviously not that clearly as many people seem to have thought that it was a one-off freebie:

Dear Ms XXXX

Further to your e-mail to our Customer Services Department, I am writing
to confirm that the above account has since been closed.
From our records, I can confirm that we received an order for the
introductory offer to our hosiery programme in the form of a returned
card following our October 2008 promotion (Prima magazine).

The terms of the introductory offer, as stated on the card, are for one
free pair of tights, and if you are happy with the tights, we despatch a
further four pairs, four weeks later, and from there on every four weeks
or less often if you prefer, unless advised otherwise. There is no
obligation to buy any tights and you may cancel or return the tights at
any time.

The original free pair of tights were despatched on 31st October and as
we have no record of any cancellation, a further four pairs were
despatched on 1st December 2008.

Details of our introductory offer are contained on the original card
mailed to you and on the letter accompanying the first free pair.

To enable you to return the unwanted items to us free of charge, please
find below our FREEPOST address:

I regret if there has been any misunderstanding of our offer and trust
that I have clarified matters for you.

Yours sincerely
Miss XXXX

If its silkies you'll have a nightmare trying to get rid of them!!!!

I'll second that.
I've still got over 30 pairs of these in a drawer, the result of Silkies ignoring my requests to cancel.
It drove me mad in the end.
DON'T GO NEAR THEM,ITS NOT WORTH A FREE PAIR OF TIGHTS.

Have just had a letter from Silkies saying that they're passing my account for £14 onto a debt collection agency. I've tried writing but got no response - I too signed up for the freebie from a link on this site! The tights they keep sending me are still in the packaging.
What do you think I ought to do? From other peoples experiences, if I pay do they leave you alone or send more tights!!!
Thanks,

Laura

This is terrible! Everybodys nightnare! Sounds like lack of communication between the departments so the won't have cancelled your account and may well take your paying as an invitation to send some more. Email again customerservice@silkiesenriche.co.uk and make sure they reply. they will most likely need your silkies account details. on request

I've just received an email back confirming they have closed my account and thanking me for my previous interest in their moisturiser. How bizarre as it was tights they'd sent. Oh well, hopefully that's the end of my association with silkies and a lesson learnt by me to read the small print on freebies.

I received some free samples of moisturiser from them last week and yesterday received a tube of moisturiser and an invoice for £14.48. No way did I request the free sample and no way do I want to pay £14.48 for unwanted tube of moisturiser.

Have emailed them using the above mentioned email adress and hope I get a satisfactory reponse
