I don't buy Prima but my guess is that you took up an offer for some free tights and part of that offer was that you would receive some more tights that you would have to pay for, probably on a monthly basis, unless you cancelled within a certain number of days. I'm also guessing that you didn't read the small print and failed to cancel so you now owe them some money.

Never accept anything for free without reading the small print.

You need to cancel as they'll keep sending them. I still have the chequebook and it says up to 4 pairs will be sent every month for £3.79 a pair + £1.99 p&p.

  • This is a really dodgy company with bad marketing stratagies. Complaint go back ten years. The covert way that they try to sell their goods is deplorable :mad::mad: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=33473&page=3

  • If its silkies you'll have a nightmare trying to get rid of them!!!!

  • I had the following email from their customer services. It seems that they did put the details on their Terms and Conditions, but obviously not that clearly as many people seem to have thought that it was a one-off freebie:

    Dear Ms XXXX

Further to your e-mail to our Customer Services Department, I am writing
to confirm that the above account has since been closed.
From our records, I can confirm that we received an order for the
introductory offer to our hosiery programme in the form of a returned
card following our October 2008 promotion (Prima magazine).

The terms of the introductory offer, as stated on the card, are for one
free pair of tights, and if you are happy with the tights, we despatch a
further four pairs, four weeks later, and from there on every four weeks
or less often if you prefer, unless advised otherwise. There is no
obligation to buy any tights and you may cancel or return the tights at
    any time.

The original free pair of tights were despatched on 31st October and as
we have no record of any cancellation, a further four pairs were
    despatched on 1st December 2008.

Details of our introductory offer are contained on the original card
mailed to you and on the letter accompanying the first free pair.

To enable you to return the unwanted items to us free of charge, please
    find below our FREEPOST address:

    PO Box 1021

I regret if there has been any misunderstanding of our offer and trust
that I have clarified matters for you.

    Yours sincerely
    Miss XXXX
