The possibility of a passenger losing (or having stolen) a payment card that was used to buy tickets, between the purchase and pickup, is a foreseeable possibility.

The result of Virgin's contract terms seems to be: "You can't have your tickets because your card has been lost. You will have to buy much more expensive replacements."

Question: Is that fair and reasonable?
Or does it breach this:

Unfair Terms
5.—(1) A contractual term which has not been individually negotiated shall be regarded as unfair if, contrary to the requirement of good faith, it causes a significant imbalance in the parties' rights and obligations arising under the contract, to the detriment of the consumer

However, if they were bought by a business, the contract does not involve a consumer so the above does not apply!!!!

i am so glad that this all worked out, its such a shame that the comlaint and suggestion forms are filed 13 (tossed out)..people on this post have great ideas on how we can change some of the procedures by showing alternate i,d..i messed up bad because i
purchased an e ticket on a friends card, and because he is not travelling with me the ticket is invalid, ( i shoulda read the small print) .. live and learn!:(:(
