I am well impressed with your eBay sales- truly amazing, I wish I could muster up such good bids. But I am determined to restart this month as I have some [strike]junk[/strike] treasure to sell
. Any income to go straight into my OP pot...

Thanks for your words of support.
I do find the preparation work of taking the photos and writing up the description, quite time consuming, but I usually do it in blocks of 10 to 15 to make it worthwhile.
In the past I have put it off until I was in the mood.
Nowadays, I just treat it like homework that has to be done.
I also have the added incentive of seeing the garage empty of clutter as the floor space becomes more obvious.
It was just a dumping ground where you had to stumble across all kinds of c**p to get to the tumble dryer.0 -
One of the handbags I listed which ends today, has already reached £9 more than I paid for it with more than 2 hours to go. :T
When the 3 remaining auctions finish tonight, I'm going to package them up, print the postage online and then leave them at work for one of my colleagues to take to the Post Office tomorrow.
When I see the snow falling outside, it makes me so glad to be going somewhere warmer tomorrow.0 -
Quidco has just paid £26.33, so my Cashback Savings Account has £65 in it. :T
Only added 34p to my Virtual Sealed Pot, so that still has £36 in it. :sad:0 -
well done on your progress

February's standing order overpayment of £500 has cleared and with the new increased mortgage payment of £891 the balance is £94,988.
I've sent another £140 to the mortgage account today and I'll send another £100 when that clears (no fees have been applied since I started adding the extras late last year) .
I read a post on another thread where it stated that the Nationwide don't bother if the extra overpayment is below a certain level.
I don't think I've reached that level yet or likely too. I overpayed £775 in total in December and wasn't charged.
If I can get away with overpaying an extra £200-£250 a month, I might possibly reach my year end target by the end of August.
When I get back from my holiday, I've got another 15 items to list on eBay and research on doing a car-boot sale.0 -
well done on the ops

I've sold a camera lens for £570 today and the buyer is collecting in person and paying cash, so no Paypal fees.
I bought it a year ago in New York for £500.
Also sold a camera body for £240, and some other minor bits of junk.
I've not used them for a good while, so I've decided to get rid and buy a a decent spec compact, because I use my compact all the time as its size means I always have it with me.
I get paid on Friday and should be receiving about £250 in overtime payments that I am owed from December.
I've just finished an overtime shift this evening (5.50 hrs) so that should generate another £110 for the overpayment pot.
I am also looking at reducing the term in a few months time so that I can pay a little bit more each month, because the extra money I have been generating in the last few months (eBay etc) is sat in a savings account paying rubbish interest rates.0 -
OMG!
that is seriously impressive eBaying. Hope you have popped onto the 'other' thread to tell us all about it and motivate us into doing a bit more ourselves?? :rotfl:
I have no idea where you find the time to eBay and work overtime. Well done!

Will do.
I had to take my netbook to work with me so that I could check the auctions and reply to questions on my break.0
