Well done on the achievement.
I think I may need to get a wide-screen monitor to accommodate SMF2's exuberance!0 -
Today, I've received a letter from NPower saying that they owe me £65.29 and a cheque will be in the post in the next 7 days.
That will be added to this month's overpayment.
To cut a long story short, I switched electricty supplier in October, but when I entered the final reading, I entered 18890 instead of 16890.
My final bill from Npower requested that I send them a final payment of £184.
My new supplier (Scottish Power) had sent them the new correct reading in November.
I was one letter away from the bailiffs knocking when I finally got to speak to someone (at Npower) with a brain on Monday evening.0 -
£500 standing order overpayment has gone in.
I'm sending another £100 tonight.0 -
Are you going to eat this month? :rotfl:
Well done on the overpayments - you'll have the mortgage paid off super quick at this rate!

The sooner the better.
We've been cooking from scratch recently (since we bought some cookbooks with tasty, easy to prepare meals) which has been cheaper (in most cases) and more enjoyable.
I sold some junk last month on eBay, and I am slowly adding that money to my overpayments.
The official limit is £500 per month with Nationwide, but I got away with £775 last month, so I reckon that I could slip in an extra £250 this month, and another £250 next month.
We get our annual statement this month and I can't wait!
I've still got a lot more to shift over the next few weeks.0 -
Excellent start to the year. Bodes well for the targets.0

Last month I wrote:-
I've still got more unwanted stuff to get rid of, but it has been a bit of a chore checking 10 times a day for Paypal payments received/communication from buyers, in between breaks at work (in retail), queueing at the Post Office  , etc.
Everyone wants items in time for Christmas, so I should have been prepared for that.
I obviously wasn't.
One of my buyers has emailed me to ask where their package is that I posted mid December.
I always send same day or next working day (tracked or COP) and my excellent feedback reflects this.
I've looked into it and I sent it to the wrong person.
I've emailed the wrong person to see if they can return it or forward it to the buyer and I will send them the payment for the postage.
If it was worth a fiver, I would have just written it off, but it was £49 including postage.
I'm planning to list another 20 items today.0 -
The wrong person has just responded to my email and will post the item to the right person.
I will not get too excited yet, as a lot can happen in between.
At least they have agreed to send it.
I've had to send the wrong person £15 to cover sending it on (includes an extra £6 for the inconvenience).
And just to top it all, I've got a puncture and a bill of £150 to sort it out.
I'll just get back to my eBay listing.0
