Bangernomics - is it time to consider the move towards this?

Another good thing to do if your car goes tits up in bangernomics if you have the time and space is to buy another of the same car, get a haynes manual, and strip the old one for spares. Not only now do you have all the spare parts, you also have experience of removing them yourself and hence some sort of idea how to replace that part if needed
